IPHONE 15 BUYBACK
We pay between $80 and $409 for an iPhone 15. Capacity, condition, and carrier are the three selections that will modify the price.
An unlocked iPhone 15 is paid more than a locked one everywhere on this model. AT&T and Verizon are level with each other, one step under unlocked. T-Mobile is under both of them. A phone locked to a smaller network is lowest. Carrier locked means the phone will only take a SIM card from the network that sold it.
Worth saying what the number is actually for. Very little of it is about the years this phone has already done. Most of it is about the years it has left. Apple still ships new iOS versions to the iPhone 15, and whoever owns it next is paying for that more than for anything else. That part of the value shrinks while a phone sits unused, and it shrinks whether the phone is switched on or not. A Buyback runs on that footing. We are not discounting a new handset, so all we need is somebody who wants this one next.
One thing here is easy to miss. Turn the phone over and count the lenses. There are two. Then open the camera and look at the buttons: 0.5x, 1x and 2x. The 2x is not a lens. Apple put a 48 megapixel sensor behind the main lens on this phone, which is the first time a standard iPhone got one. The 2x view is the middle of that sensor, cropped out of the full frame.
For grading, that means the main lens is doing two jobs. If its cover is chipped, the 1x and the 2x go together. A chip or a crack in either cover grades the phone Faulty on its own, however clean the screen is. Tilt the back under a lamp and check both covers before you pick a grade.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of an iPhone 15 runs from $80 to $409. These numbers are live. They come from the same feed that prices your quote, so they move when the market moves. The grid shows unlocked prices, and we quote carrier-locked phones separately.

HOW IT WORKS
Choose your storage, your carrier and the grade that matches the wear. Whatever Buyback price you accept is locked for 14 days. It won't move while your phone is in the mail.
We email you a prepaid USPS label. Erase the phone, then pack it so nothing presses on the screen. Hand it in at any post office. Shipping is free both ways. If you change your mind and want the phone back, that costs you nothing either.
We check every iPhone 15 by hand within 48 hours of it arriving. If the phone matches what you told us, your money goes out that day. We pay via gift card, PayPal, bank transfer, or check. If we find something you didn't know about, we'll tell you what we found and what it changes.
SPEC SHEET
Four phones shipped in this generation. The iPhone 15 Plus is the big one at 6.7 inches. The iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max both have three rear cameras and a titanium frame. This phone has two cameras and an aluminum frame. The quickest tell against the iPhone 14 is the port, because the 14 charges over Lightning. The iPhone 16 charges over USB-C too. Look at its right edge, where it has an extra camera button.

IPHONE 15 QUESTIONS
Storage, carrier and wear set the number. The grid on this page carries every combination. The quote tool gives you your exact one in about a minute.
No. A trade-in is what a carrier or a retailer does while you are buying something else from them. Their figure comes off that purchase, and it usually reaches you as credit on your bill across 24 or 36 months, so it only finishes if you stay that long.
A Buyback stands on its own. We buy the iPhone 15 outright and pay via gift card, PayPal, bank transfer, or check. Nothing has to be opened, signed up for or bought first. The two figures are worked out from different things, which is why they rarely land in the same place.
Here, at a carrier store, at a mall kiosk, or in a listing you write yourself. The 15 is recent enough that a private sale will find buyers, so the honest question is what the extra money is worth against arranging it all yourself. Our quote takes about a minute and holds for 14 days. If you turn it down after we have seen the phone, it comes back to you free.
USB-C, and the 15 is where that changed. Apple moved the whole iPhone line to USB-C in September 2023. So a Lightning port means you're holding an iPhone 14 or something older, whatever the box said.
Look at the bottom edge, between the two screws. A USB-C opening is a wide oval and the same shape either way up. Lightning is a thinner slot with gold pins you can see.
The port matters more here than on any iPhone before it. It's the only way in. Plug in a USB-C cable and watch the battery icon on the lock screen. Then plug the phone into a computer and see whether it shows up there. That second step tells you the data pins work, not only the charging pins.
Most ports that seem dead are packed with lint. Shine a light straight into the opening and look at the back wall of it. A wooden toothpick lifts the lint out. Metal doesn't, so leave the paper clip in the drawer.
If the port charges, grade the phone on its wear like any other. If it doesn't charge, the phone arrives here flat. We can't buy a phone that won't turn on. Without power we can't test it or clear your data. Send it anyway and we'll recycle it free, or mail it back to you free.
No. Keep both. We price the phone on its own. A cable in the box adds nothing to your quote, and we can't send it back later.
Brand New is the one exception, because that grade means a sealed box that nobody has opened.
Yes. Any crack or chip grades the phone Faulty, front, back or on a lens cover. Faulty is a real price here, not a polite no. A worn battery does the same thing, and we still buy the phone.
We can't buy it. A phone with no power can't be tested, and your data can't be cleared. We won't pay for something we can't check. Send it in and we'll recycle it free, or mail it back to you free.
That grades the phone Faulty. You'll find the number in Settings, then Battery, then Battery Health and Charging. Anything at 80 percent or above leaves your grade alone.
No. Every iPhone 15 sold in the US is eSIM only, so there's no tray to lose. That's one grading rule you can skip. A missing or damaged SIM tray forces Faulty on the models that have one.
Phones bought outside the US do have a tray. If yours has one, it needs to be in the phone and undamaged when you ship it.
Sign out of iCloud before you send the phone and your eSIM stops being a worry. Your carrier can move the line to a new phone once the old one is signed out.
Sooner than feels comfortable. Values drop hardest in the weeks after Apple launches a new iPhone. Waiting for a quiet moment usually costs you.
A drawer costs you too. The battery ages whether you use the phone or not. Once Maximum Capacity drops under 80 percent, the phone grades Faulty.
Yes. Unlocked, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and other networks are each quoted separately. We measured all ninety price squares today. Unlocked is highest on every one of them. AT&T and Verizon are level with each other on every square. T-Mobile sits under both, and a phone on a smaller network sits lowest. Pick the network your phone actually runs on.
Ours is $265 for a Good 128GB, in cash, sent the day we finish checking it.
No. We don't purchase devices under financial obligations. A phone on an installment plan or a lease can't be sold here. Clear the balance and we'll quote it like any other phone.
No. Every grade needs a clean ESN. That rules out a phone reported lost or stolen. Same for one blocked by a carrier, or signed in to an Apple Account.
Back it up first. Then sign out of iCloud so Find My switches off, and erase the phone in Settings. Our Device Erasure Guides walk you through every step.
Every phone we buy gets wiped to Department of Defense standards, whatever state it arrives in.
We pay via gift card, PayPal, bank transfer, or check, and you choose when you accept the quote. Gift card averages about 3 percent more, because plenty of brands add a bonus. PayPal is instant and carries PayPal's 2.99 percent fee. Bank transfer takes 2 to 4 days and a check takes 3 to 5.
Lined up like that, the whole spread between the fastest and the slowest is about five days. The two percentages are the part worth a moment's thought. The timing barely is.
Your money goes out the same day we finish checking the phone.
One rule to know before you pick. A phone graded Brand New is paid by PayPal only. The other three are not offered on a sealed iPhone 15.
Storage, carrier, condition. About a minute, and your number holds for 14 days.
