The 2021 Pro was the first iPad Apple gave a Thunderbolt port, running up to 40Gb/s. It looks exactly like the USB-C socket on the model before it. Same hole, same plug, no marking on the case to tell you which one you have.
Here is the part that catches people out. Apple never put a Thunderbolt cable in the box. What shipped with it was a plain USB-C Charge Cable, one meter long, and a 20W adapter. So when somebody digs an old cable out of a drawer, plugs it in, gets nothing, and decides the port has died, the port is usually fine and the cable is not.
Try a second cable you know works, and a wall adapter rather than a laptop. Then hold a light up to the socket and look inside. Four years of pocket lint packs into that opening and stops the plug seating properly. A wooden toothpick clears it out. Nothing metal, ever.
Spend the ten minutes, because power is what decides whether we can buy the tablet at all. A cracked iPad Pro 11-inch (3rd generation) has a price and it is in the table below. HOW A BUYBACK WORKS
Choose 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB or 2TB, choose WiFi or WiFi + Cellular, and choose the grade. Plug it in and charge it before you decide anything, because a tablet that seems dead is often only a tired cable. The Buyback price you accept is held for 14 days.
We email a prepaid USPS label. Sign out of iCloud so Activation Lock comes off, erase the iPad, then box it. Keep the Apple Pencil, the keyboard, the case and the charger. None of them add to your payout and all of them are easier to lose in a box than at home.
We inspect within 48 hours of the parcel landing. If the tablet is what you described, the money goes out that same day as a gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every iPad gets a DoD-grade wipe here, bought or recycled, no exceptions.

Usually not. Work through it in this order before you decide.
Swap the cable for one you have seen work on something else in the last week. Cables fail far more often than ports do, and the one that came with this iPad was a plain USB-C charge cable, not a Thunderbolt cable, so a random cable from a drawer is a coin toss. Then use a wall adapter instead of a laptop or a car socket. Then shine a light straight into the port. If you see gray fluff packed at the back, that is four years of pocket lint holding the plug half an inch out. Ease it out with a wooden toothpick and never anything metal. Leave it on a charger for half an hour and try again.
If it still shows nothing after all that, the tablet counts as one that will not power on, and that is the one case where we cannot buy it. We recycle it free instead.
You cannot tell by looking, so read the back. A2377, A2459, A2301 and A2460 are the 2021 model and belong on this page. The 2020 one has different prices and its own page at sell your iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation). If the back cover is too scuffed to read, open Settings, tap General, then About, and look at Model Number. A code starting with M or F flips to the A-number when you tap it once.
A2377 is the WiFi only iPad Pro 11-inch (3rd generation). A2459 is WiFi + Cellular. A2301 is the Cellular one with mmWave. A2460 is the Cellular version sold in mainland China. All four quote on this page, and the only difference that changes your price is WiFi against Cellular.
Yes. A crack or a chip anywhere on it, including over the camera lenses, grades Faulty, and Faulty is a price. A 128GB in that state is $41 and a 2TB is $60. Pick Faulty when you quote and nothing will change when we open the box. The only thing that stops a broken one being bought is a screen too dark or too dead to test.
It grades Faulty. Face ID is the only way this iPad recognizes you, since there is no Home button and no Touch ID on it, so a dead one is a fault regardless of how good the rest looks. Try it before you choose a grade: lock the screen, hold it in front of you at normal reading distance and look straight at it. If it never opens on its own, that is Faulty pricing.
It does. Below 80 percent it is Faulty, and so is any iPad showing a service battery message. Nothing else about the tablet changes that. Choose Faulty at the quote step and you will be paid exactly what you were shown.
Settings, then Battery, shows you the health figure on current software. Older software prints no percentage at all, in which case use the charger as your test: an iPad that needs topping up before the day is out, or that shuts down while the indicator still reads 20 or 30 percent, is under 80.
We cannot buy that one. With no power we cannot test what we are buying and you cannot get your data off it, and putting a price on an unknown helps nobody. Recycling it is free. No, not until it is cleared. A tablet on an installment plan or a lease is a tablet under a financial obligation, and those are not ones we can purchase. Pay the balance, take full ownership, and then it quotes like anything else on the site.
We cannot, and there are two different checks hiding inside that question.
Activation Lock has to be off on every one of these, WiFi or Cellular. You turn it off by signing out of iCloud and erasing the iPad. Do it before you mail it, or the tablet comes straight back to you unpaid.
The IMEI has to be clean, and this one only applies if yours is WiFi + Cellular, because a WiFi iPad does not have an IMEI. Reported lost, reported stolen or blocked by a carrier all fail this check and we have to send the tablet back. You can read your IMEI in Settings, General, About before you commit.
Yes, at every storage size and every grade, but the gap is nowhere near uniform, so read it by column. Take 256GB in Good condition: $245 with Cellular against $215 on WiFi. That 30 dollars is the widest gap on the whole grid, and the 256GB column stays generous all the way down. The 128GB is the other end of it: 11 dollars on a sealed one and 5 on a Good one. The 512GB, 1TB and 2TB columns sit between 10 and 17 dollars from Brand New down to Average. Faulty is 1 to 6 dollars whatever the size. iPads are not carrier locked, so it does not matter which network it was on, only whether it has the cellular hardware. The table on this page is WiFi, so switch the quote over if yours has a SIM tray.
No. Accessories are not part of the quote, so an Apple Pencil (2nd generation), a keyboard or a folio case adds nothing to what lands in your account, and every extra item in the box is one more thing to go missing. Keep the charger too. Send the iPad on its own.
No. Apple runs a trade-in program, and what it hands back is credit toward something else you buy from Apple. A Buyback is us buying the iPad on its own. The money is cash, you can spend it anywhere, and the price is held for 14 days while the tablet travels to us.
Color is not part of our sum either way. Silver and Space Gray were the only two finishes and both quote the same, to the cent.
Settings, then General, then Transfer or Reset iPad, then Erase All Content and Settings. It will ask for the password on your Apple Account, and that password prompt is the bit that actually releases Activation Lock. Do it before the iPad leaves the house.
