SELL YOUR GALAXY S25 FE 5G
A Galaxy S25 FE 5G tops out at $265 today, and the table below prints every row underneath it. Two things put you on one row rather than another: the storage size you have, and about five minutes of honest checking. One thing to say plainly before you spend those five minutes. The 512GB is not paying anything on this model at the moment, at any condition, so if that is the one in your drawer the quote box will show you a zero rather than a number. Better you read it here than after you have taped up the box.
Worth knowing what shape the money arrives in, because that is the first real difference between us and a network. A carrier's offer has exactly one shape: credit against a bill, released in slices over two or three years, and worth nothing to you the month you leave. A Buyback has four shapes and you choose between them at the end of the quote. That sounds like a detail until you notice the choice moves the total by a few percent in either direction, which on this phone is real money. The four are set out below, with what each one adds or costs.
Four ways to take it. Gift card, which averages about 3 percent more because the brands add their own bonus. PayPal, which is instant and carries PayPal's 2.99 percent fee. Bank transfer in 2 to 4 days. Check in 3 to 5. Your price is held for 14 days from the moment you accept it, so there is no rush to get to the post office.
Now the part that decides which row of the table you are in, and on this phone it starts with the fingerprint reader.
The Galaxy S25 FE reads your finger with light. There is a small optical sensor under the display, and Samsung has confirmed it is optical rather than the ultrasonic scanner in the S25, the S25+, the S25 Edge and the S25 Ultra. Those flagships push sound through the glass instead. It is the one place this phone's hardware is plainly a step behind its family, and it changes how you should test it.
Here is what that means in practice. An ultrasonic reader will usually still open a phone with a damp thumb. An optical one usually will not, because water on your skin scatters the light it is trying to read. So a Galaxy S25 FE that refuses your finger when you have just washed up is behaving normally. Dry your hands and try again before you decide anything is wrong with it.
If it still will not read, do this properly before you grade yourself down. Go to Settings, then Security and privacy, then Biometrics, then Fingerprints. Delete every finger saved on the phone. Register one again, slowly, with a clean dry finger and the screen at full brightness. Then lock it and try three times. Three clean reads and the sensor is fine. Nothing at all, and a part of the phone has stopped working.
That last case is Faulty. The Samsung rule is not a checklist, it is a principle: if something on the phone does not work, the phone is Faulty, no matter how good it looks. A dead reader moves you further down this table than any scratch ever will, which is why the five minutes are worth spending.
One more thing that can stop a healthy reader dead, and it is not a fault: a thick tempered glass screen protector. Our Galaxy S22 Plus page walks through that one properly, so take the protector off and retest before you read any of this as a broken sensor.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a Galaxy S25 FE 5G runs from $43 for a cracked 128GB up to $265 for a sealed 256GB. Most phones a year old land somewhere in the top half.
Rows are the six condition grades, columns are the storage sizes, and every figure is for an unlocked phone. These come straight off our live price feed, so what you see here is what the quote box will offer you today.

Brand New | $245 | $265 | $0 |
Flawless | $245 | $265 | $0 |
Good | $215 | $235 | $0 |

HOW IT WORKS
Pick your storage size, your network and your condition. If you are not sure of the size, Settings, About phone, Storage tells you. Run the fingerprint check before you choose a grade, because a reader that has genuinely stopped working moves you further than any scratch does. Accept the number and it is held for 14 days.
A prepaid USPS label arrives by email. Sign out of your Google account first, then factory reset the phone, then box it with something soft around the screen. Keep the charger, the cable and the case. None of them is priced in and we would rather they stayed with you.
We check every phone by hand within 48 hours of it landing. If it matches what you told us, the money goes out that day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every device is wiped to Department of Defense standards on arrival, including the ones we recycle instead of buying.

QUESTIONS
At 256GB, Flawless is $265, Good is $235, Average is $204 and a phone with a crack in it is $47. At 128GB the same four grades are $245, $215, $187 and $43. The quote box at the top of the page gives you your exact figure for your size, your network and your grade.
Wet the pad of one finger, dry it off roughly so it is still slightly damp, and try the fingerprint reader. A Galaxy S25 reads a damp finger most of the time, because its scanner works with sound. The FE usually will not, because its scanner works with light. Size settles it too: the FE is 6.7 inches and 190 grams, the S25 is 6.2 inches and much lighter. And Settings, About phone, Model number ends the argument. SM-S731U or SM-S731U1 is the FE.
No, and please do not grade it down for that. The optical reader in the Galaxy S25 FE takes a picture of your fingertip using light from the screen, and a film of water scatters that light. Dry your hands properly and try again. Failing on a wet finger is how this phone was built, not a fault.
Test it fairly first. Take any screen protector off. Go to Settings, Security and privacy, Biometrics, Fingerprints, delete every saved finger and register one again slowly with a clean dry hand. Then lock the phone and try three times. If it opens, you are fine. If it does nothing across all three, that is a part of the phone that has stopped working, and on a Samsung any part that has stopped working means Faulty. At 256GB that is $47 instead of $235. Tell us about it either way. We check by hand and we find it anyway, and a phone described honestly gets paid the same day.
Yes. A crack or a chip anywhere, front, back or over a camera lens, puts the phone in Faulty, and Faulty at 128GB is $43. It does not matter that everything still works. Broken glass is broken glass, and we would rather you sent it and took the number than left it in a drawer. Peel any screen protector off before you look, because a cracked protector over an unbroken screen fools people every week. Shipping is free in both directions, so if you read the number and change your mind, we mail the phone back to you for nothing.
Yes, and it puts the phone in Faulty. Every Galaxy S has an OLED panel, so every one of them can burn in. A year is early for it, but a phone left on a car mount with a map on screen can manage it. Brightness all the way up, a plain white image, a dim room, then tilt the phone and look across the surface for a ghost of the clock or the navigation bar. Our Galaxy S23+ page has the full walkthrough, including the two things people mistake for burn-in.
There is not. No percentage, no threshold, no battery screen to go hunting for. Sellers arrive from our iPhone pages expecting an 80 percent line and there simply is not one on a Samsung. A battery only affects your grade if it has actually stopped doing its job, and at that point it is caught by the same rule as a dead speaker or a dead button.
It changes it a lot, and unlocked wins by a distance. A Good 128GB is 215 dollars unlocked, against 119 on AT&T, 112 on Verizon, 108 on Other and 102 on T-Mobile. If your contract is finished and the phone can be released from the network, do that before you get a quote. It is worth more than any amount of polishing.
Almost never, and the shape of the offer is the reason. A carrier trade-in is bill credit. It is spread across 24 or 36 months, it only exists while you stay on that network, and walking away throws the rest of it away. A Buyback is one payment in real money, sent the day the inspection clears, and it does not care who you sign up with next.
Not for money, and here is the honest reason. If it will not power up we cannot test it and we cannot clear your data off it, and we are not going to pay for a phone we cannot check or hand back a device with your photos still on it. What we will do is recycle it free, wiped to Department of Defense standards, or mail it back to you for nothing. Your choice.
Not while the payments are still running. A phone on a carrier installment plan or a lease is under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Clear the balance with your carrier and it quotes exactly like any other Galaxy S25 FE.
No, and these are three separate checks rather than one. A phone reported lost or stolen, blacklisted or blocked by a carrier is a no. A Google account lock or an FRP lock is a no, because the next owner can never get into it. A tripped Knox counter is a no as well. Sign out of your Google account before you factory reset, in that order, and the FRP lock never appears in the first place.
No. Icyblue, Jetblack, Navy and White are all worth the same to us. Color moves phones in a store and it does nothing at all in resale, so pick the honest grade and ignore what shade it is.
Four ways, and you choose when you accept the quote. A gift card averages about 3 percent more than the cash figure because the brands add a bonus. PayPal is instant and carries PayPal's own 2.99 percent fee. A bank transfer takes 2 to 4 days. A check takes 3 to 5. A phone graded Brand New can only be paid through PayPal, which is the one real reason to think twice before claiming that grade. On this phone thinking twice costs you nothing, because Brand New and Flawless pay exactly the same at 128GB and at 256GB. An opened phone with no marks on it is better quoted as Flawless, and then you can take the gift card and its bonus.
Sign out of your Google account first, then factory reset. Doing it in that order is what stops the FRP lock appearing. Settings, Accounts and backup, Manage accounts, then remove the Google account, then Settings, General management, Reset, Factory data reset. Our erase guide has it screen by screen. Every device we receive is also wiped to Department of Defense standards when it arrives, so your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and cannot be recovered.
Three sizes, six grades, five networks. It takes about a minute, and the number holds for 14 days once you accept it.
