Start with the S Pen, because it is the easiest thing to leave behind. It slides into a slot in the bottom left corner of the phone. Put it back in before you box anything up. The pen came with this phone and belongs with it, and a Note 10 Plus 5G that reaches us without one is quoted lower than the same phone with the pen where it should be.
Now the part that costs Note 10 owners money. Samsung built two phones in 2019 that are almost impossible to tell apart by looking. The Galaxy Note 10 Plus and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G are the same size, the same 6.8 inch screen, the same four circles on the back, the same color names. They are separate products with separate prices, and they are not close.
The model number is the answer, and it takes fifteen seconds. Open Settings, tap About phone, and read the line marked Model number. SM-N976U or SM-N976V means you have the 5G phone and you are on the right page. SM-N975U or SM-N975U1 means you have the LTE one. Nothing else on the outside of the phone settles it, so do not go by the color or the box.
There is a second way to check if the phone still has service. Pull down the status bar with a SIM in and look at the network label. A 5G badge, or a 5G option under Settings, Connections, Mobile networks, Network mode, only appears on the SM-N976. We send a prepaid USPS label to your inbox. Take your Google account off the phone, factory reset it, then open the tray and take out the SIM and the memory card. Pen back in its slot, phone in the box, nothing else needed.
Inspection happens within 48 hours of your phone arriving. If it is as described, payment goes out the same day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every phone through the door gets a Department of Defense grade wipe, bought or recycled.

A lot of six year old phones land in Fair, which is heavy wear you can feel with a fingernail but no cracks and no chips. Fair pays $45 for a 256GB and $49 for a 512GB. A tidier one goes higher and the table above has the whole grid. Use the quote box for your exact phone.
You cannot tell by looking, so read the model number in Settings, About phone. SM-N976U or SM-N976V is the 5G phone. SM-N975U or SM-N975U1 is the LTE one, and it has its own page and its own prices at sell your Galaxy Note 10 Plus. The gap between the two is worth more than the fifteen seconds it takes to check, so please check.
Size and slots. The Plus has a 6.8 inch screen and a memory card slot in the SIM tray. The regular Galaxy Note 10 is noticeably smaller at 6.3 inches, has no card slot at all, and only ever came in 256GB. If you have a microSD card in your phone, you are holding a Plus.
Yes. Cracks and chips are the one thing that override everything else: the phone goes to Faulty no matter how well it works. That is $15 for a 256GB and $16 for a 512GB, and it is a real offer rather than a brush off. Pick Faulty at the quote step so nothing changes later. Curved screens like this one chip along the edges first, so look there before you decide.
Send the phone anyway and tell us when you quote. The S Pen lives in a slot in the corner of the body, it was sold as part of the phone rather than as an extra, and a Note 10 Plus 5G that arrives without its pen is quoted lower than one with the pen in place. Worth turning the sofa over first.
Fair is a phone that has been used properly. Heavy wear you can feel with a fingernail, scratches you can see across the room, worn corners. No cracks and no chips, because those are a different grade entirely. Above Fair sits Average, where the wear is visible but smooth to the touch, then Good, where nothing shows at arm's length.
Yes, and it takes the phone all the way to Faulty. Every Note has an OLED panel and a 2019 phone has had six years to burn something into it. Check it now: brightness up, plain white image, dim room, and hunt for a ghost of the clock at the top or the navigation bar at the bottom. No. We have no battery percentage rule for Samsung phones, so nobody is going to ask you for a health figure and there is no screen on this phone that shows one. Six years of charging does what it does. The only time the battery affects the grade is when it has genuinely stopped working, and that falls under the same rule as any other failed part.
Yes, at the Faulty price. Samsung grading here works on one principle rather than a checklist: if a part of the phone does not do its job, the phone is Faulty. The ultrasonic reader under this screen is a common one to go, and so are the loudspeaker, the charging port and the buttons. Give it two minutes before you quote. Sound on a video, every button pressed twice, each rear camera in turn, and the charger plugged in and jiggled.
Not until the lock is off. A phone still signed in to a Google account keeps factory reset protection switched on, which means nobody else can set it up, so it has no price at any grade. You clear it by removing the account in Settings, Accounts and backup, then doing the factory reset. The same no applies to a tripped Knox counter, and to any phone reported lost or stolen, blacklisted or carrier blocked.
Not while there is a balance on it. A phone on an installment plan or a lease is under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Settle it with the carrier and the phone quotes normally the same day.
We cannot buy a phone that will not switch on, because we cannot test it and we cannot clear your data off it, and we are not going to guess at a price. The free options stay open: send it on a free label and we will recycle it properly, with a Department of Defense grade wipe first, or ask for it back and we return it free.
Back up first, then remove the Google account under Settings, Accounts and backup, Manage accounts. Then Settings, General management, Reset, Factory data reset. Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and they cannot be recovered. Compare what lands in your hand. A carrier offer is bill credit, paid monthly across two or three years, and it dies if you switch networks. Ours is one payment, sent the day after your phone clears inspection, in a gift card or straight into your account. There is also no plan to sign.
