A Galaxy Note 10 Plus is worth $8 to $40. The table below has every grade, and there is one surprise in it that works in your favor.
Most people call it a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and here's why the price is different. A carrier writes you a credit you can only spend on your next phone with them. We buy this one, check it by hand, tell you what we found and pay you.
Before anything else, two things come out of this phone. The S Pen comes out of nothing: it goes back in. It lives in a slot in the bottom left corner, it was part of the phone rather than an accessory sold beside it, and a Note 10 Plus that arrives without its pen is quoted lower than the same phone with the pen in place.
The other thing does come out, and it is the one people forget. Open the tray on the top edge with the pin and look at it. The Note 10 Plus takes a microSD card, and if there is one in there it is holding your photos, your videos and whatever else you moved off the phone to save space. A factory reset does not touch it. We wipe every phone that reaches us to Department of Defense standards, but the honest advice is not to send the card at all. Take it out, keep it, and put the empty tray back in.
That tray is worth ten seconds of attention while you have it open. It should slide out and click back flush with the frame. If it will not seat, or if the phone stopped reading cards a while ago, that is a fault, and on Samsung phones a fault of any kind moves the grade to Faulty. Better to find that now than to disagree about it later.
Now the surprise in the table. On this model the 256GB and the 512GB pay exactly the same at every grade, so the size of your phone does not change your number at all. A prepaid USPS label comes by email. Remove your Google account, factory reset the phone, then open the tray and take out both the SIM and the memory card. Slide the S Pen back into its slot. The phone travels on its own, no charger and no case.
We inspect within 48 hours of arrival and tell you what we found. If the phone matches your description, the money leaves the same day as a gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every phone gets a Department of Defense grade wipe, bought or recycled.

A phone in Good condition, meaning light wear that you cannot pick out at arm's length, is $40. Drop to Average, where the wear shows up close, and it is $34. Neither figure changes if yours is the 512GB. The quote box at the top of the page gives you the exact number for your phone.
No. Take it out and keep it. That card holds photos and videos that a factory reset does not touch, and it does not add anything to your quote either, so there is nothing to gain by sending it. Open the tray on the top edge with the pin, lift the card out, and put the empty tray back in before you box the phone. If one does reach us by accident, tell us straight away and we will get it back to you.
Not on this model, no. Every grade pays the same figure at both sizes, which is unusual and is why both columns are in the table above. It is one less thing to worry about at the quote step, and it means a 512GB owner is not leaving money behind by ticking the wrong box.
They look identical, so read the model number in Settings, About phone. SM-N975U or SM-N975U1 is this phone. SM-N976U or SM-N976V is the 5G one, and it has its own page and its own, higher numbers at sell your Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G. Do not go by the color or the box, because those are the same on both.
It does. On Samsung phones we work from one principle rather than a checklist: if a part of the phone does not do its job, the phone is Faulty. A tray that will not seat, or a phone that has stopped reading cards, is that. So are a speaker that buzzes, a button that has gone dead, a charging port that needs the cable at an angle and a fingerprint reader that fails half the time. Two minutes of testing before you quote saves the argument.
Yes, and Faulty is a price rather than a rejection: $8, the same at either storage size. A crack or a chip anywhere, screen, back or lens cover, lands there no matter how well the phone works. Tick Faulty at the quote step and the figure holds when we open the box. On a screen curved like this one, look along both long edges first, because that is where the chips start.
Send the phone and tell us when you quote. The pen has a slot cut into the body and it shipped as part of the Note 10 Plus, so a phone that reaches us without one is quoted lower than the same phone with the pen sitting where it belongs. Look properly before you give up on it.
Distance and touch. Good is light wear you cannot pick out when you hold the phone at arm's length. Average is wear you can see up close but cannot feel with a fingernail. Fair is wear you can feel. None of those involve cracks or chips, because one of those takes the phone out of the ladder entirely and into Faulty.
Yes, and it grades the phone Faulty, so check before you quote. Every Note has an OLED panel and this one has been on since 2019. Brightness up, plain white image full screen, dim room, then look for a ghost of the clock along the top or the navigation bar across the bottom. No. There is no battery percentage rule on Samsung phones with us, so no health screen to find and no figure to send. A 2019 battery is going to be tired and that is expected. The only way a battery reaches the grade is by failing outright, which the functionality rule already covers.
Not while the lock is on. A phone still signed in to a Google account keeps factory reset protection active and nobody else can set it up, so there is no grade that can be paid for it. Remove the account in Settings, Accounts and backup, then factory reset. Same answer for a tripped Knox counter and for anything reported lost or stolen, blacklisted or blocked by a carrier.
Not until the balance is gone. A phone on an installment plan or a lease is under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Settle it with the carrier, then quote it here.
No price, and the reason is simple. We cannot test a phone with no power and we cannot clear your data off it, so there is nothing we could honestly offer. What we can do is take it for free: send it on a free label and we recycle it after a Department of Defense grade wipe, or ask for it back and we return it at no cost.
Back up first. Then remove your Google account under Settings, Accounts and backup, Manage accounts, and run Settings, General management, Reset, Factory data reset. Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and they cannot be recovered. Then open the tray and take out the SIM and the memory card, because the reset does not clear a card. It depends what you are counting. A carrier pays in bill credits spread over two or three years, tied to the plan, and the rest disappears if you leave. We send one payment, in money, the day after your phone clears inspection. Pick from a gift card, which runs about 3 percent higher, PayPal, which is instant with a 2.99 percent fee, a bank transfer in 2 to 4 days or a check in 3 to 5.
