What counts is whether the phone works. A battery only reaches your grade by failing outright, and failing means something you can see without an app. Take the Xperia 5 III off the charger in the morning with nothing running and leave it alone. If it is dead before lunch, or if it switches itself off while the battery icon still looks half full, or if it will not run at all unless the cable is in, the phone is not working properly. No. We do not grade Android batteries by a percentage, so there is nothing to look up and no screenshot to send. A phone that holds less charge than it did in 2021 is normal for its age and it does not cost you a cent here. This is the single biggest difference between our Android pages and our iPhone pages, and it catches people out in the seller's favor for once.
That is different, and it does change the grade. A phone that shuts down on its own, or only runs with the cable plugged in, has something that does not work, and anything that does not work grades Faulty. Same answer if the charging port is loose and only takes a charge at one angle. Pick Faulty when you quote, tell us in the notes, and the price you see is the price you are paid.
We cannot buy that one. Without power we cannot test it and we cannot clear your data off it, and buying a phone we cannot wipe is not something we will do. Free recycling is the offer instead. Post it on a free label, it is disposed of properly, or ask for it back and that return is free too.

Yes. Any crack or chip anywhere, screen, back or lens cover, puts the phone in Faulty, and it stays there even if everything still works. That is a price rather than a refusal: $17 for a 256GB and $15 for a 128GB. Choose Faulty at the quote step and nothing changes when we open the box.
It does, and this screen can get it. OLED panels hold a ghost of anything that sits in one place for months, usually the status bar or the navigation buttons. Burn-in grades the phone Faulty. Put a plain white image up at full brightness and look for a faint shadow where the clock and the icons normally sit.
It does, at every grade. Sealed, that is $100 against $110, and the gap holds all the way down the table. Open Settings, tap Storage and read the total capacity if you are unsure which one you bought.
Fair is heavy wear you can feel. Close your eyes and run a fingernail across the screen and the back edges. If it catches on scratches or dents, that is Fair, however good the phone looks in a photo. Marks you can see but not feel are Average, and marks you cannot see at arm's length are Good. Fair is still a working phone: the moment there is a crack or a chip, it is Faulty instead.
None of it. Nothing is required in the box and none of it adds a dollar to your price. Take your SIM and any memory card out of the tray and keep them. Send the phone on its own, in something padded, and that is a complete shipment as far as we are concerned.
Sign out of your Google account first. That is the step that clears the FRP lock, and a phone that arrives still locked to an account cannot be bought at any grade, because nobody else can set it up.
