PIXEL 10A BUYBACK
An unlocked Pixel 10a is worth between $36 and $258 here. Smaller numbers than the rest of the Pixel 10 family, and we are not going to dress that up, but it is a 2026 phone and there is real money in it.
The word everyone uses is trade-in. Ours is Buyback, and it is not just branding. We wipe the phone to Department of Defense standards, we track it both ways, we check it by hand, and we tell you what we found rather than quietly revising your price.
The Pixel 10a is the odd one out in this family, and the three ways it differs are the three ways people talk themselves into a lower grade than they have earned.
First, the magnets. Every other Pixel 10 has a ring of them under the back for Pixelsnap charging. The 10a does not. Its wireless charging is plain Qi, so a magnetic charger or a snap-on case slides straight off it. That is how the phone left the factory and it is not a fault.
Second, the back. The 10a has a composite back rather than glass, and composite picks up fine scratches that glass shrugs off. Those scratches are wear. They belong in the middle of the grade ladder, not at the bottom. The screen and the camera lens covers are still glass though, so a crack or a chip in either of those is Faulty, same as any other phone.
Third, the screen. People assume the cheaper phone got a cheaper panel that cannot burn in. It did not. The 10a screen is OLED, so a permanent ghost of the clock or the navigation bar is possible and it does grade Faulty. Worth two minutes of checking before you pick.
Beyond that the rules are the ones that cover every Android phone we buy: any crack or chip is Faulty, and if something on the phone does not work, the phone is Faulty. We buy broken ones too, the label is free both ways, and a Pixel 10a that will not power on gets free recycling rather than a quote.

HOW IT WORKS
Choose 128GB or 256GB, your carrier and your condition. Give the back a fair look first and remember that fine scratching in composite is wear rather than damage. Your Buyback price holds for 14 days once you accept it.
We send a prepaid USPS label by email. Remove your Google account, then factory reset, or factory reset protection leaves the phone locked to you and it has to come back. Take the SIM out. Keep the cable and the case, we do not pay for either.
A person here checks the phone within 48 hours of it arriving and writes down what they see. If it matches your description the money goes out that day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Bought or recycled, every phone gets a Department of Defense wipe.

PIXEL 10A BUYBACK QUESTIONS
A 256GB with light wear you cannot feel with a fingernail is $180. Tidier than that and it is $200. Cracked or with something broken on it, it is $40. Those are not huge sums, and if the phone is sitting in a drawer they are better than nothing. Quote yours at the top of the page for the exact figure.
No, and this is the single most common thing Pixel 10a owners worry about for no reason. The 10a has no magnets in it. Google put a Pixelsnap magnet ring in the Pixel 10, the 10 Pro, the 10 Pro XL and the 10 Pro Fold, and left it out of this one, so the 10a charges on a plain Qi pad and nothing snaps onto its back. A magnetic charger sliding off, or a snap-on case that will not hold, is exactly how this phone shipped. It has no effect on your grade at all.
Open the camera and look at the zoom buttons. The 10a has two rear cameras and no telephoto, so there is no 5x option. The Pixel 10 has three lenses including a 5x, and you can see the third circle on the camera bar.
The chip is the other giveaway, and it is unusual enough to be worth knowing: the Pixel 10a runs a Tensor G4 while everything else in the Pixel 10 line runs the newer G5. Settings, About phone shows it. The colors do not overlap either, since the 10a came in Lavender, Berry, Fog and Obsidian. Color makes no difference to the price on either phone, but it does tell you which page to quote on.
GE1GQ for the US model. There is no point turning the phone over to look, because Google does not print a model code on a Pixel at all. It is on the box, and it is in Settings, About phone, on the Model line. Ten seconds in Settings beats hunting for a box you probably recycled.
Not by itself. The 10a has a composite back rather than glass, and composite scuffs and scratches more readily than glass does, which means a 10a that has had an ordinary life looks rougher than a glass phone treated the same way. That is wear, and wear moves you down the grade ladder, not off the bottom of it.
The dividing line is your fingernail. Marks you can see but not feel are light wear. Marks you can feel are heavier wear. Neither is Faulty. What is Faulty is a crack or a chip, and the screen and the two camera lens covers are glass, so damage there counts even if the back is spotless.
Yes. It grades Faulty and Faulty still pays: $36 on a 128GB and $40 on a 256GB. Choose Faulty when you quote, say what is wrong, and the figure you accepted is the figure that gets paid.
Peel the screen protector off before you decide. A protector that has taken the hit and shattered while the screen underneath is fine is a very common false alarm, and on a phone at this price level it is a big share of the money.
It can, and it grades Faulty. This trips people up because it feels like the sort of thing only an expensive phone would have. The 10a screen is OLED, exactly like the rest of the line, so a clock, a status bar or a navigation bar that has sat in the same pixels for long enough can leave a permanent shadow. No. There is no battery rule on this phone or on any Android phone we buy. No 80 percent line, no minimum, and no battery health screen to dig out and screenshot. That is an iPhone rule and it stops at the Apple pages. If your Pixel 10a needs charging more often than it used to, that is ordinary and it does not touch your grade. A battery that has actually died is a different matter, and it lands under the general rule below.
Yes, and it grades Faulty. Android grading is a principle rather than a list: if any part of the phone does not work, the phone is Faulty. A speaker, a mic, a button, a camera, the fingerprint reader, the charging port, any of them. Spend two minutes before you quote. Ring the phone. Record a voice memo and play it back. Press every button. Open the camera and check 0.5x and 1x both work. Plug it in. On a 256GB that check is the difference between $180 and $40.
Not for a payment, no. We cannot test a phone with no power, so any price would be guesswork, and we cannot erase your photos, messages and saved passwords off it either. Recycling is free instead. Mail it on a free label, we run a Department of Defense wipe and dispose of it properly, or we send it back to you at no charge. On a phone at this price that is often the sensible answer anyway.
Three things, and all three are worth checking before you accept a quote.
Money still owed. A phone on carrier installments or a lease is under a financial obligation and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Clear it first.
A blocked IMEI. Lost, stolen or carrier blocked phones cannot be resold, so we have to return them. Yours is in Settings, About phone.
A Google account still signed in. Factory reset protection means the phone stays locked to your account after a reset, so nobody else can set it up. Remove the account in Settings before you reset and it is a non-issue.
Yes, and the gap is proportionally large on a phone this size. A 256GB in Good condition is $200 unlocked against $149 on AT&T, then T-Mobile, Verizon and Other below that. Unlocked tops every carrier at both capacities and all six conditions. If the phone is paid off, getting your carrier to unlock it is the best paid ten minutes on this page.
A little, and there is a neat overlap worth knowing. A 128GB in Good condition is $180, and a 256GB with a bit more wear on it is $180, which is the same money. So condition is worth about as much as capacity here. Check which you have in Settings, Storage rather than going by memory.
Account first, reset second. Settings, Passwords and accounts, tap your Google account, Remove account. Then Settings, System, Reset options, Erase all data (factory reset). Doing it in that order is what actually clears factory reset protection. Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and they cannot be recovered. Four ways and you choose when you accept. Gift cards arrive by email and pay roughly 3 percent more, because the brands add a bonus on top, which on a phone at this price is a few dollars worth having. PayPal is instant with a 2.99 percent fee from PayPal. A bank transfer takes 2 to 4 days and a check 3 to 5.
