PIXEL 10 PRO XL BUYBACK

The thing to check before you pick a condition is the screen, and not for cracks. The Pixel 10 Pro XL has the biggest panel Google puts in a phone, 6.8 inches of OLED that peaks at 3,300 nits, and a screen that bright gets run bright. An OLED that spends years showing the same clock, the same status bar icons and the same navigation pill in the same pixels eventually keeps them. That is burn-in, and burn-in grades a phone Faulty even if it has never been dropped.
Here is the test, and it is worth two minutes. Brightness all the way up, lights off or curtains closed, and put a plain white image on the whole screen. Look across it from a slight angle rather than head on. Then swap the white for a light gray field, because gray shows uneven wear that white washes out. Last step, and this is the one that settles it: turn the phone sideways into landscape. The real status bar and the navigation pill move with the rotation. A ghost that is burned into the panel does not. It stays exactly where it was, sitting across the middle of a landscape screen, and once you have seen that you cannot unsee it.
Three things are not burn-in and should not cost you a grade. A single dead or stuck pixel is not burn-in. The green or blue cast every OLED takes on when you tilt it is not burn-in. And a faint image that fades away after a couple of minutes of something else on screen is temporary retention, which is normal and goes.
If the panel is clean, this is a straightforward phone to sell. We buy used Pixel 10 Pro XLs, cracked ones, and ones that stopped working, and shipping is free in both directions. A phone that will not power on is the one thing we cannot price, because it cannot be tested or wiped, and that one gets free recycling instead.

A prepaid USPS label arrives by email. Remove your Google account and factory reset the phone before you seal the box, because a phone still signed in is locked to you and we cannot buy it. The charger, the case and the box add nothing to the price, so keep them.
We check the phone by hand within 48 hours of it reaching us, screen included, and tell you what we found. If it matches, the money leaves the same day as a gift card, PayPal, a bank transfer or a check. Every phone gets a Department of Defense wipe whether we buy it or recycle it.

PIXEL 10 PRO XL BUYBACK QUESTIONS
Capacity and condition, in that order of least to most important. A 512GB with no marks on it at all is $495. The same phone with light everyday wear is $455. If the screen is cracked or something has stopped working, it is $91, which is still money rather than a refusal. Quote yours at the top of the page for the exact figure.
Turn the brightness all the way up and go somewhere dim. Then three steps.
One, fill the screen with plain white and look across it at a slight angle, not straight on. You are hunting for a faint permanent shadow of the clock, the status bar icons or the navigation pill at the bottom.
Two, swap the white for a light gray. Gray reveals uneven pixel wear that a white field washes out, and on a panel this bright that matters.
Three, rotate the phone into landscape and look again. The live status bar and navigation pill rotate with it. A ghost baked into the panel does not, so it sits stranded across the middle of the screen. That is the step that turns a maybe into a yes.
If you find one, the phone grades Faulty. That is not us being harsh, it is a screen fault that cannot be repaired without a new panel.
Three things get mistaken for burn-in every week and none of them costs you a grade. A single dead or stuck pixel is a dot, not a ghost. Take any screen protector off before you decide. A cracked protector over an undamaged screen is a very common false alarm and it is worth checking rather than throwing away a couple of hundred dollars.
They are the same phone in two sizes with the same cameras and the same four colors, so it catches people out. Three ways to settle it. Screen size: 6.8 inches on the XL, 6.3 on the Pixel 10 Pro. GUL82 is the Pixel 10 Pro XL and G4QUR is the Pixel 10 Pro, both US models. Do not go looking on the back of the phone for it. Unlike an iPhone, a Pixel has no model code printed on the case at all. Google puts it on the box. If the box went out with the recycling, open Settings, tap About phone and read the Model line, which is quicker anyway.
No, and there is no percentage on this page for a reason. We do not grade Android phones on battery health, there is no 80 percent threshold, and you do not need to go hunting through Settings for a battery health screen. Ordinary battery fade after a year or two changes nothing about your quote. The only battery that matters is one that has actually failed, and that is covered by the same rule as everything else on the phone.
No marks at all. Not light ones, not ones you have to tilt it to see. Hold it under a bright light and turn it slowly: if you find nothing on the screen, the frame, the back or the camera bar, that is Flawless. Light wear you cannot see from arm's length is Good. Light wear your fingernail cannot feel is Average. Wear you can feel but no cracks and no chips is Fair. Anything cracked, chipped or not working is Faulty. Brand New means sealed and never switched on, which is a different thing from mint.
It does, and this is where the Android rules part company with the iPhone ones. There is no list of qualifying faults. If anything on the phone does not work, the phone is Faulty. That covers the fingerprint reader, face unlock, either speaker, any of the three mics, every button, all three cameras, the charging port and wireless charging. Five minutes with the phone settles it: ring it, record a voice memo and listen back, press every button, tap 0.5x, 1x and 5x in the camera app, and put it on a charger. A 512GB that fails any of those is $91 instead of $455. Telling us up front is always better than us finding it.
We cannot buy that one. A dead phone cannot be tested, so we have no way of knowing what we are paying for, and more importantly your photos, messages and saved passwords cannot be erased off it. We are not going to take something we cannot clear. Free recycling is the offer instead: mail it on a free label, we run a Department of Defense wipe and dispose of it properly. If you would rather have it back, that is free too.
Not while there is a balance on it. A phone on carrier installments or a lease counts as being under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Finish the payments so the phone is properly yours, then quote it and it behaves like any other.

The IMEI has to be clean. Anything reported lost or stolen, or blocked by a carrier for unpaid bills, fails that check and has to go back to you. You can read your IMEI in Settings, About phone.
The Google account has to be off it. Factory reset protection locks a Pixel to the account that was signed in, so if you have not removed yours the phone is unusable to anybody else and we cannot take it. Remove the account, then factory reset. Both steps, in that order.
Considerably more, and it is the biggest single lever on this page. A 1TB in Good condition is $470 unlocked against $340 on AT&T, and T-Mobile, Verizon and Other sit below that in that order. If the phone is paid off, ask your carrier to unlock it before you quote. It usually takes a day or two and it is worth more than a grade of condition.
No. Moonstone, Jade, Porcelain and Obsidian all pay the same at every capacity and every condition. Nobody pays a premium for a finish here, so choose your storage and your grade and leave color out of it.
Two steps and they matter in this order. First, Settings, Passwords and accounts, tap your Google account and remove it, which is what releases factory reset protection. Then Settings, System, Reset options, Erase all data (factory reset). Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and they cannot be recovered afterwards.
