SELL YOUR ONEPLUS 8T
A OnePlus 8T pays between $5 and $37 here. Quoting takes about a minute and the number you accept is held for 14 days.
Most people call it a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and here is why the price is different. A person checks the phone by hand, it gets a Department of Defense wipe, it is tracked in both directions, and you hear what we found before we pay.
One thing makes this page shorter than its sister pages. OnePlus sold the 8T in the United States in a single configuration, 256GB, and that is the only size we quote. There is no storage question to answer. So the grade is not part of your price, it is all of your price, and the whole spread between the top of this page and the bottom rests on which of six words you pick. Worth ten minutes rather than ten seconds.
Start by making sure it is an 8T at all. Turn it over. The 8T carries its four cameras in a raised rectangular block in the top left corner of the back. The OnePlus 8 and the 8 Pro run theirs in a strip down the middle instead. That block stands proud of the glass, which means it lands first when the phone goes down face up, and a chip in that glass grades Faulty even when every photo still comes out perfectly. Run a fingernail around the rim of it under a lamp before you decide anything.
After that it is the ordinary questions: where to sell a OnePlus 8T, what a used one is worth, whether we take broken ones. We do, cracked or scratched or dented. We cannot buy one that will not power on, though we will recycle it free and wipe it either way. Shipping is free in both directions.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a OnePlus 8T runs from $5 up to $37. A phone with heavy wear you can feel, but no cracks and no chips, is Fair and pays $15. Two grades up from there, Good pays $25.
One column, because OnePlus sold this phone here in one size. Every figure is pulled live from our price feed.
| Comparison row | 256GB |
|---|---|
Brand New | $37 |
Flawless | $35 |
Good | $25 |
Average | $23 |
Fair | $15 |
Faulty | $5 |
HOW IT WORKS
There is no storage to choose, so this is your network and your grade and nothing else. Take the case off, run a fingernail around the camera block, and look at all four corners. The Buyback price you accept is held for 14 days.
A prepaid USPS label arrives by email. Remove your Google account, factory reset the phone, then pack it with the camera block cushioned rather than pressed against cardboard. Keep the 65W charger and the cable. Neither is priced in and the charger is worth having.
We inspect within 48 hours of the phone arriving. If it matches your description, payment leaves the same day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every phone is wiped to Department of Defense standards, the recycled ones included.

ONEPLUS 8T BUYBACK QUESTIONS
Your grade decides all of it, because there is only one storage size. Fair pays $15, Average pays $23 and Good pays $25. A cracked one still pays $5. The quote tool at the top of the page gives you your exact number.
Because that is all OnePlus sold here. The US OnePlus 8T came as 12GB of memory with 256GB of storage and no other combination, so there is no 128GB version of this phone to quote in America. If your phone reports something other than 256GB in Settings, Storage, you are probably holding an imported model or a different OnePlus altogether, and it is worth checking the model number before you go any further.
Look at the back first. The 8T has a raised rectangular camera block in the top left corner. The OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro both run their cameras down the middle of the back instead. Then look at the screen from the side: the 8T is flat, the other two curve down the long edges. In writing, Settings then About phone, KB2005 is the US 8T.
Run a fingernail slowly around the outside rim of it and then across each lens cover, under a lamp, with the phone tilted so the light rakes across rather than shines straight down. A nail that glides is wear. A nail that stops on a step, or catches on a flake, is a chip, and a chip in that glass grades Faulty however good the photos still look. This block sits proud of the back panel, so on a phone that has been dropped face up it takes the hit before anything else does. It is the easiest thing to miss and the most expensive.
Heavy wear you can feel with a fingernail, and no cracks or chips anywhere. Deep scratches across the back, worn corners, scuffs in the frame that catch a nail. All of that is Fair rather than Faulty, and the difference between those two grades is real money on a phone this age. Above it, Average is light wear you cannot feel. Good is light wear you cannot see from arm's length. Flawless means no marks at all.
Yes. Cracked is Faulty, and Faulty is a price rather than a refusal: $5. The same grade covers a cracked back panel, a chipped lens cover, a bent frame and a display that has already been replaced with an aftermarket part. Choose Faulty when you quote and nothing changes when we open the box.
No. The OnePlus 8T has no wireless charging hardware at all, so a phone that ignores a charging pad is behaving exactly as it left the factory. Do not grade yourself down for something the phone was never sold with. What it does have is 65W wired charging, and that is worth testing with a cable you know works.
Worth checking, because burn-in grades Faulty. Open a plain white image, push the brightness up, and look across the whole panel for a ghost of the status bar or the navigation area. If white looks clean, try a plain gray one, since faint burn-in shows up on gray first. A dead line, a stuck patch or a green cast at low brightness all land in the same place.
Only if it has actually failed. There is no percentage rule on Android phones here and no battery health screen to go looking for. A five year old 8T that no longer lasts a full day is graded on how it looks. One that shuts off at 30 percent, or only runs while plugged in, has a part that no longer works, and that is Faulty.
Check both numbers, and check the shape of them. Carriers usually pay in bill credit spread across two or three years and tied to keeping a line open, so you collect it slowly or not at all. Ours reaches $37 on this model, it is cash or a gift card or a transfer, and it goes out the day the phone clears inspection. Take whichever is genuinely larger.
A balance left on an installment plan or a lease means the phone is under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Clear it and quote normally. A Google account or FRP lock is a harder stop: the phone cannot be set up by anybody but you, so we cannot buy it at any grade. Blacklisted, carrier blocked or reported lost or stolen are the same answer.
No price on that one. A phone that will not power up cannot be tested and your data cannot be cleared off it, and we will not buy something we cannot check. Free recycling instead, with the same Department of Defense wipe every other phone gets, or a free trip back to you. Either way it costs you nothing.
Google account off first, reset second. Settings, tap your account at the top, remove it, then Settings, System, Reset options, Erase all data. That order is what stops the phone arriving here locked and going straight back out again. Pictures and steps are on our erase your device page. We run our own Department of Defense wipe on arrival, but your data should be gone before it leaves you.
Four ways, chosen at checkout. A gift card is emailed and lands about 3 percent ahead of the rest because the brands add a bonus. PayPal is instant with PayPal's 2.99 percent fee taken off. A bank transfer is 2 to 4 days, a check 3 to 5. All four go out the same day the phone clears inspection. A sealed Brand New phone is the one case where PayPal is the only option.
One size, six grades, about a minute. Accept the number and we hold it for 14 days.
