SELL YOUR ONEPLUS 8 PRO
A OnePlus 8 Pro pays between $12 and $95 here. Storage and wear decide the rest. Quoting takes about a minute, and the number holds for 14 days once you accept it.
Most people call it a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and here is why the price is different. Every phone is checked by hand, wiped to Department of Defense standards and tracked both ways, and you hear what we found before any money moves.
Count the lenses on the back. Four means you have the 8 Pro. Three means you have the standard OnePlus 8, which is a different page and a different price. That fourth lens is the interesting one: a 5MP color filter camera, and in 2020 people worked out it could see through some thin plastics. OnePlus reworked it in a software update that summer, and since then it feeds the main camera rather than shooting on its own. So if your fourth camera seems to do nothing much, that is the update, not a fault, and it does not change your grade.
One thing on this phone genuinely is worth testing, and almost nobody does. The 8 Pro was the first OnePlus you could charge without a cable. Lay it face up in the middle of a wireless pad and wait for the charging icon. If it never appears, and you have tried a second pad, the coil has stopped working. Anything on an Android phone that has stopped working grades Faulty, however clean the glass is.
So: where to sell a OnePlus 8 Pro, and what a used one is really worth. We buy them working, scratched or cracked. We cannot buy one that will not power on, but we will recycle it free and wipe it on the way, and shipping is free in both directions either way.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a OnePlus 8 Pro runs from $12 for a cracked 128GB up to $95 for a sealed 256GB. The middle is where most phones land. A 128GB in Average condition pays $54 and a 256GB in Average pays $72.
These come out of our live price feed, so the figures below are what we are paying for one today.
| Comparison row | 128GB | 256GB |
|---|---|---|
Brand New | $74 | $95 |
Flawless | $70 | $90 |
Good | $60 | $80 |
Average | $54 | $72 |
Fair | $36 | $48 |
Faulty | $12 | $16 |
HOW IT WORKS
Pick 128GB or 256GB, your network and a grade. Do the wireless pad test before you choose, and run a fingernail down both curved edges of the screen where a chip likes to hide. The Buyback price you accept is held for 14 days.
A prepaid USPS label arrives by email. Remove your Google account first, then factory reset, then pack the phone with padding along the long edges. Keep the charger, the cable and the case. None of them adds anything to the quote.
We check the phone by hand within 48 hours of it arriving. Match the description and payment leaves the same day, by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every phone gets a Department of Defense wipe, the recycled ones included.

ONEPLUS 8 PRO BUYBACK QUESTIONS
Storage and condition decide it. A 128GB in Average condition pays $54, and the same phone at 256GB pays $72. Move up to Flawless on a 256GB and it is $90. The quote tool at the top of this page gives you your exact combination.
Turn it over and count the rear lenses. The 8 Pro has four. The standard OnePlus 8 has three. The Pro is also the bigger phone at 6.78 inches against 6.55, its screen curves down both long edges, and it charges on a wireless pad while the standard 8 does not. If you want it in writing, Settings, About phone: IN2025 is the US 8 Pro.
Almost certainly not. That lens is a 5MP color filter camera, and it never took ordinary photos. In 2020 people found it could see through some thin plastics, and OnePlus changed how it works in a software update that July. Since then it feeds lighting information to the main camera instead of shooting by itself, and the effect is faint unless you are outside in strong sun. A subdued fourth camera on an 8 Pro is normal and does not lower your grade. What does lower it is a chip or crack in the glass covering any of the four lenses, which grades Faulty.
Lay the phone face up in the middle of a wireless pad, not near the edge, and give it fifteen seconds. You want the charging icon or the little animation on screen. Nothing at all? Nudge it half an inch and try again, then try a different pad, because a tired pad fools people more often than a dead phone does. If two pads give you nothing, the coil has stopped working, and on an Android phone anything that has stopped working grades Faulty. Tell us at the quote step and the number you see is the number you get.
It changes where the damage turns up. A curved edge sticks out past most cases, so it is the first thing to touch the ground, and it takes a chip from a knock that would leave a flat phone unmarked. Run a fingernail slowly down both long edges under a lamp. Anything that catches, or any bright speck in the glass, is a chip, and a chip anywhere on this phone means Faulty regardless of how well it works. Scratches you can feel but that have not broken the glass are Fair, not Faulty.
Yes. Cracked grades Faulty, and Faulty is a price rather than a refusal: $12 for a 128GB and $16 for a 256GB. The same grade covers a cracked back panel, a chipped lens cover and a screen that has already been replaced with an aftermarket part. Choose Faulty when you quote and there are no surprises at inspection.
Both are faults and both land on Faulty. The 8 Pro has an AMOLED panel, and AMOLED burns in where something static sits for years, usually the status bar or the navigation area. Open a plain white image, turn the brightness up and look across the whole panel for ghosting or patches of uneven color. Some 8 Pro owners also saw a green cast in dark scenes at low brightness. If yours shows either, grade it Faulty. It is still worth money.
Only if it has actually stopped doing its job. There is no percentage rule on Android phones here, so ignore anything you have read about 80 percent and do not go hunting for a battery health screen. A OnePlus 8 Pro that runs shorter than it used to is normal for a 2020 phone and grades on its looks. One that shuts down at 30 percent, or only stays alive plugged in, has a part that no longer works, and that is Faulty.
Light wear that your fingernail cannot feel. Good is a step above: wear you cannot pick out at arm's length. Fair is heavier wear you can feel, with no cracks and no chips anywhere. If you are hovering between two, take the lower one. Nobody has ever been annoyed by a payment that came in higher than expected.
Sometimes, and it is worth checking rather than guessing. The carrier's offer normally arrives as bill credit spread over two or three years and tied to a new line, so you only collect it if you stay. Ours tops out at $95 for this model, it is real money, and it lands the day the phone clears our bench. Compare the two and pick whichever suits you.
Two different problems. A phone still on an installment plan or a lease is under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations, so settle the balance first. A Google account or FRP lock is worse, because it makes the phone unusable to anybody else. We cannot buy one at any grade. Reported lost or stolen, blacklisted or carrier blocked all end the same way. Sign out of your Google account before you reset and none of that applies to you.
Then we cannot put a price on it. A phone that will not power up cannot be tested and your data cannot be cleared off it, and we are not going to buy something we cannot check. Free recycling is the offer instead. Send it on a free label, we wipe it to Department of Defense standards and dispose of it properly, or we mail it back to you for nothing. Your choice.
Order matters. Settings, tap your account at the top, remove the Google account, then Settings, System, Reset options, Erase all data. Removing the account first is what stops the phone arriving here locked. Our erase your device page has the same steps with screenshots. We run our own Department of Defense wipe when it lands, but yours should be off before it leaves you.
Pick at checkout from four. Gift card, emailed, and worth roughly 3 percent more than the others because the brands add a bonus. PayPal, instant, with PayPal taking their 2.99 percent fee. Bank transfer in 2 to 4 days. A check in 3 to 5. All of them go out the same day the phone clears inspection. The one rule: a sealed Brand New phone is paid by PayPal only.
Two sizes, six grades, about a minute. Accept the number and we hold it for 14 days.
