The one nobody tests is the screen, because a screen that lights up looks like a screen that works. This panel is AMOLED at 1440 by 3120 and it ran the navigation bar and the status icons in the same pixels for years. Open a plain white image, turn the brightness to full, and tilt the phone in the light. A faint bar along the bottom or a ghost of the clock across the top is burn-in, and burn-in grades Faulty on its own, with no crack needed.
The other thing worth knowing about this phone is that it has a body double. The OnePlus 7 Pro is the same size, the same 206 grams, the same curved screen and the same pop-up camera. Two letters separate them. HD1910, HD1911 and HD1913 are a 7T Pro. Anything starting GM is a 7 Pro or a 7. Settings, then About device, settles it in ten seconds.

Someone checks your OnePlus 7T Pro by hand within 48 hours of it arriving and tells you what they found. If it matches your description, payment leaves that day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check, and the phone is wiped to Department of Defense standards.

You cannot tell by looking. Same 6.67-inch curved screen, same pop-up camera, same 206 grams, same shape. The model number is the answer and the prefix is all you need: HD is a 7T Pro, GM is a OnePlus 7 Pro. Read it in Settings, About device. The 7 Pro also came in 128GB, which this one never did, so a 128GB phone is not a 7T Pro.
Fill the screen with plain white, set brightness to maximum, and look at it straight on and then at an angle. Burn-in shows as a permanent faint shape that does not move when the picture does, most often the navigation bar at the bottom edge or the notification icons at the top. If it is there, the grade is Faulty regardless of how good the rest of the phone looks. It is worth doing before you quote, not after.
Because the panel has physically changed and it cannot be undone. Every buyer sees it, so it is not a cosmetic detail we can price around. It sits with cracks and chips in the same group: things that force Faulty on their own, with no other fault needed.
It does. Open the camera, switch to the front lens, and watch the module rise and retract a few times. Smooth, level, quiet, automatic. Anything else, including a module that only comes up when you help it, means that part has failed, and a failed part means Faulty on any Android phone we buy. The lens cover on the module counts as glass too, so a chip there is Faulty as well.
All three of its positions have to change what the phone does. Slide it up, down and to the middle and watch the indicator appear each time. A position that does nothing is a broken control, which puts the phone in Faulty. It is a five second test and it is easy to forget.
There is not. No Android phone we buy has a battery percentage rule, so there is no figure to find and no screen to check. Battery wear on a phone this age is simply expected. A battery that has genuinely stopped working is a different matter and falls under the same rule as any other dead component.
Yes, carrier locked phones are welcome and just carry a different price, so choose your network at the quote step. Locks that belong to a person rather than a network are the ones that stop us: a Google account still on the phone, a handset reported lost or stolen, or an IMEI on a blacklist. We cannot buy those at any grade.
Open Settings, go to Accounts and remove your Google account, then go to Settings, System, Reset options and erase all data. Order matters: account off, then reset. Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and they cannot be recovered afterwards. No. An unpaid installment plan or lease means the phone is under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Once the balance is cleared and the carrier has released it, quote it here as normal.
We cannot buy it. A phone with no power cannot be tested, and your data cannot be cleared off it, so putting a price on it would be a guess. Free recycling is the alternative: free label, Department of Defense grade wipe, responsible disposal. Ask for it back instead and that costs nothing either.
They do not. Nothing is required in the box on this model, so the Warp Charge charger, the cable, the case and the packaging can all stay with you. Sending them adds nothing and gives them a chance to get lost.
