A OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren pays between $15 and $89 with us, which makes it the highest paying OnePlus 7 of the six. It was a limited run and the numbers still show it, six years later.
Most people call it a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and the difference here is that a real person checks the phone by hand and tells you what they found.
The top of that range belongs to a sealed one, and almost nobody has a sealed one. It is worth quoting anyway, because this is the rare model where people did buy a second and leave it in the shrink wrap. If yours is still boxed and unactivated, that is the number, and it is paid by PayPal rather than the other three methods.
Now the trap, and it costs McLaren owners more money than anything else on this page. In the United States this phone was sold exclusively through T-Mobile. It does not look like a carrier phone. There is no carrier logo, the box is the black and orange OnePlus one, and it came with an unlocked phone's price tag. A very large share of them are still carrier locked, and the owner has no idea.
That matters because unlocked and T-Mobile are two different prices in our quote tool, and picking the wrong one means we come back to you with a corrected figure instead of paying what you saw. Check it in about twenty seconds: open Settings, tap About device, then Status, and look for SIM lock or network lock. Or drop in a SIM from another network and see whether it gets service. Both answers are fine with us, we buy either, but tell the quote tool the truth and the number holds.
A carrier lock is a price. A lock on the phone itself is a stop. If the McLaren still asks for a Google account that is not yours, or it has been reported lost or stolen, we cannot buy it at any grade. HOW IT WORKS
Check whether yours is unlocked or on T-Mobile first, then pick that and your grade. There is no storage question on this model. The Buyback price you accept is held for 14 days, so you are not racing the market.
A prepaid USPS label comes by email. Remove your Google account, factory reset the phone, and pack it so the pop-up camera cannot be pressed in. Keep the Warp Charge 30T brick and the carbon fiber case. Neither is priced in.
Inspection is done within 48 hours of arrival and we tell you the result either way. If the phone matches what you described, payment leaves the same day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every device gets a Department of Defense grade wipe.

Assume it might be, because in the US these were sold through T-Mobile only. Open Settings, tap About device, then Status, and look for a SIM lock or network lock line. The other test takes a minute: put in a SIM from a different network and see whether you get service. Both versions sell here. Unlocked pays $89 at the top and a T-Mobile one pays $79, so the only mistake is picking the wrong one and having the price corrected later.
No. A carrier lock changes the price and nothing else, and we buy locked handsets every week. The locks that do stop a sale are different animals: a Google account still signed in that we cannot clear, a phone reported lost or stolen, or an IMEI blocked by a network. Those cannot be bought at any grade, and no grade choice at the quote step gets around it.
The McLaren is Papaya Orange with a carbon fiber pattern showing through the back glass and a thin orange band around the edge. The ordinary one is Haze Blue. In software, the McLaren has 12GB of memory and the model number HD1925. If yours is blue with 8GB, it is a OnePlus 7T Pro and it prices on its own page for a good deal less.
It is, and this is one of the few 2019 phones where sealed units still turn up, because people bought them to keep. A never activated McLaren still in the plastic pays $89. One thing to plan for: Brand New devices are paid through PayPal only, so the gift card and bank transfer options are not available on that grade.
Yes. Any crack or chip, front glass, back glass or a camera lens cover, puts it in Faulty, and Faulty pays $15. The orange back is glass like any other, so it counts. Declare the damage when you quote and the number does not move when we open the box.
Flawless means no marks at all, anywhere. Good means light wear you would not notice holding it at arm's length. Average is light wear a fingernail cannot feel, and Fair is heavy wear a fingernail can feel with nothing cracked. Because the Papaya Orange finish is a light color, scuffs on the frame show more clearly than they would on a black phone, so look at it in daylight before you choose.
Yes. Switch to the front camera five times and watch it rise and drop. It should be quick, level, quiet and automatic. Grinding, sticking or needing a nudge means the mechanism has failed, and a failed mechanism grades the phone Faulty on our Android rules. Check the small lens cover on the module while it is up, since a chip there counts as a chip.
None. No Android phone we buy carries a battery percentage rule, so there is no reading to send us and no screen to go and find. Six years of charging is normal wear. A battery that has genuinely failed is caught by the same rule that catches any broken part, and that is the only way it touches your grade.
Plain white image, full brightness, look at it flat and then tilted. Burn-in is a shape that stays put while the picture changes, usually the navigation bar or the status icons. This panel is AMOLED so it is a genuine risk on a phone that has been in daily use, and burn-in grades Faulty by itself.
Settings, Accounts, remove your Google account. Then Settings, System, Reset options, erase all data. Account first, reset second, or the lock stays on and the phone has to come back to you. Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and cannot be recovered. Not while a balance remains. A phone on an installment plan or a lease is under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Since most of these were bought on a T-Mobile plan, it is worth confirming the plan is finished before you quote.

They do not, and that surprises people because the box was part of the appeal. The Warp Charge 30T brick, the orange cable, the carbon fiber case and the presentation box are not priced into the quote. Nothing is required in the box, so keep the set together if you like it. It is worth more to a collector than it is to us.
Rarely, and on this model it is worth actually checking rather than assuming. Carrier offers on a 2019 handset are credit against a new line, released monthly, and usually nothing for a damaged phone.
