SELL YOUR MOTO G STYLUS (2023)
The most a Moto G Stylus (2023) pays here is $3. That is not a typo and we are not going to dress it up. It sold for around two hundred dollars new, three years have gone by, and the used market for it has more or less emptied out. The grid below shows every grade so you can see the whole picture before you decide anything.
Most people call it a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and the difference is what happens after you mail it. We wipe it, we track it, and we tell you what we found. On a phone worth this little, the wipe is honestly the part that matters most, and it is free whether we buy the phone or recycle it.
This is the one Moto G Stylus you never have to check for burn-in. Burn-in is something that happens to OLED panels, and the 2023 has an LCD, a 6.5 inch 720p one at 90Hz. No amount of leaving the same app open has marked it, so put that worry down.
An LCD fails in a different way, and that one is worth a look. Fill the screen with a plain white image and go over it. You are looking for a patch that stays dark, a bright band along an edge, a line running top to bottom, or an area that has gone milky. Any of that is a screen that has stopped doing its job, and a function that has stopped working makes the phone Faulty.
The other automatic Faulty is damage. Run a fingernail across the front glass, the back and the camera glass. A scratch glides. A chip catches. If it catches anywhere, that is Faulty, whatever the phone does when you switch it on.
Where to sell a Moto G Stylus (2023) is really a question of who still quotes one at all. We do, used or broken. If it will not power on we cannot buy it, because a phone with no power cannot be tested and your data cannot be cleared off it. We recycle those free instead, shipping included, and we wipe them to Department of Defense standards on the way.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a Moto G Stylus (2023) tops out at $3 for one that was never opened. A well worn phone that still works is $1.
Storage changes nothing on this model. The 64GB and the 128GB pay exactly the same at every grade, which is unusual and worth knowing before you spend time working out which one you own. Every figure below is pulled live from our own feed, so it is what we are paying today. These are the unlocked prices, and no carrier version pays more than these.
| Comparison row | 64GB | 128GB |
|---|---|---|
Brand New | $3 | $3 |
Flawless | $3 | $3 |
Good | $2 | $2 |
Average | $2 | $2 |
Fair | $1 | $1 |
Faulty | $0 | $0 |
HOW IT WORKS
Pick your storage, your carrier and the grade that matches the wear. Do the white screen check first, since a patchy panel changes the answer. The Buyback price you accept is locked for 14 days, and you can walk away at any point before you mail it.
We email you a prepaid USPS label. Remove your Google account, then factory reset, then take out the SIM and any memory card. The charger, the cable, the case and the box are not priced in, so keep those at home.
A person checks your phone by hand within 48 hours of it landing. If it matches what you told us, payment goes out the same day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every phone gets a Department of Defense grade wipe, bought or recycled.

MOTO G STYLUS (2023) BUYBACK QUESTIONS
Not much, and here are the real figures rather than a range that flatters it. A Fair one, meaning heavy wear you can feel but nothing cracked and everything working, is $1. Tidier than that, at Average or Good, and it is $2. A sealed one that was never switched on is $3. Storage makes no difference either way.
No. Burn-in is an OLED problem and this phone has an LCD, so it cannot happen to yours. That is a genuine relief on a Stylus, because the 2024 and 2025 both moved to OLED and burn-in is an automatic Faulty on those. Whatever has been sitting on your screen for the last three years has left no mark on this panel.
An LCD fails in patches rather than ghosts. Open a plain white image so it fills the screen, turn the brightness up, and look across the whole panel.
A blotch that stays dark, a bright band down one edge, a line running top to bottom, or an area that has gone cloudy all mean the panel has started to fail. That is a function that has stopped working, so the phone grades Faulty. Press gently near any dark patch too: if it spreads or changes shape, the panel has been squeezed at some point and it will keep getting worse.
Settings, About phone, Model number. XT2317 is the 2023. XT2419 is the 2024 and XT2517 is the 2025. If the phone is not in front of you, the fastest tell is 5G: the 2023 does not have it and both newer ones do. Two more giveaways are the fingerprint reader in the side power button, which the 2024 moved under the glass, and the softer 720p screen next to their sharper OLEDs. The newer two have their own pages, our Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) and Moto G Stylus (2025), and both pay considerably more.
Not on this one. Both capacities quote identically at every grade, which is not how it usually works and is worth saying plainly so nobody hunts through Settings for a number that will not change anything. Pick whichever you have and move on to the condition question, because that is the only lever on this phone.
You can quote it, yes. Any crack or chip, on the front glass, the back or the camera glass, moves the phone to Faulty however well it works, and the Faulty row in the grid above shows what that comes to today. Have a look at it before you commit. If the number is not worth the trip to you, free recycling is the other option and we will wipe the phone to Department of Defense standards either way, so nothing of yours goes anywhere.
Fair is heavy wear you can genuinely feel with a fingernail. Deep scratches, worn corners, a scuffed back. Nothing cracked, nothing chipped, and everything still working.
Above that, Average is marks you can see close up but cannot feel. Good is light wear that disappears at arm's length. Flawless means no marks at all. Most three year old phones without a case land in Fair, and being honest about that is faster than arguing about it later.
No. There is no battery percentage rule on Motorola phones, so do not go looking for a health screen. Three years of charging a 5000mAh cell has not changed anything about how we grade this phone. A battery that has genuinely stopped working is caught by the same rule as any other broken part, and that is its only route into the grade.
We cannot buy it, and the reason is practical. Without power the phone cannot be tested and your photos, messages and saved passwords cannot be cleared off it, so there is nothing honest to price. Free recycling is the answer instead, and on a phone this old it is often the sensible one. Mail it on our label, we destroy the data and dispose of the hardware properly. Want it back? That return is free as well.
Not until the balance is gone. A phone on an installment plan or a lease is under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Most 2023 phones are clear by now, but prepaid and carrier deals sometimes run longer than people remember, so check before you quote.
Then we cannot buy it at any grade. A Google account lock or FRP lock leaves the phone stuck at a sign-in screen only the original owner can get past. Blacklisted, reported lost or stolen, or blocked by a carrier is the same answer. Remove your Google account first and factory reset second, in that order, and the lock never follows the phone.
On a phone this old, a carrier will often not take it at all, and where they do it is bill credit spread across two or three years rather than money in your hand. We pay cash once, the day after inspection clears. Ask the carrier if you want, then compare. Our number is on this page, small as it is, with nothing hidden behind it.
Two steps, and this order matters. Settings, Passwords and accounts, tap your Google account, Remove account. Then Settings, System, Reset options, Erase all data. Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and they cannot be recovered. There is a full walkthrough on our erase your device page. We wipe every phone again when it arrives, but yours has to come off first.
Four ways, picked at checkout. A gift card is emailed and works out around 3 percent better than the others because the brands add a bonus. PayPal is instant, less PayPal's 2.99 percent fee, which on a number this size is a matter of cents. Bank transfer takes 2 to 4 days and a mailed check 3 to 5. All of them go out the same day the phone clears inspection. Sealed Brand New phones are PayPal only.
Straight answer: for most people, the money is not the reason to do it. The figures on this page are pocket change and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What the process is genuinely worth is the other part. The shipping is free, the phone is wiped to Department of Defense standards whether we buy it or recycle it, and a phone in a drawer with your accounts still on it is a loose end. If the price makes it worth mailing, take it. If it does not, send it for free recycling and get the same wipe.
Storage, carrier, grade. About a minute, and the number holds for 14 days.
