IPHONE 17E BUYBACK
We pay between $102 and $462 for an iPhone 17e. Capacity, condition, and carrier are the three selections that change the price.
For example, an Unlocked item will generally be a higher payout than a carrier locked item (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc). Carrier locked means the phone runs on one network only, until that network releases it. We checked all sixty prices on this model. Unlocked is the highest of the five at every capacity and every grade, so there is no exception to hunt for here.
Most people call this a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and one difference decides whether it is open to you at all. The carrier version needs two phones: the one you hand over and the new one you are buying. A lot of 17e owners only have the first. This model is the cheap one in the family, so it is often a spare, a work line, or a phone a kid grew out of. Nobody upgrades a spare. It sits in a drawer instead, losing value every month, and a Buyback is the version of this that works on a phone you are not replacing.
Before you quote, be sure which phone you are holding. Hold a magnetic wallet, a car mount or a wireless charger flat against the back. On an iPhone 17e it snaps into place and stays there. That is a ring of magnets built into the back panel, and Apple calls the ring MagSafe.
The phone this one replaced has no magnets in it at all. A charger slides straight off an iPhone 16e, and it holds on a 17e. That is worth thirty seconds of your time. The two phones look alike from the front, they are priced separately, and quoting the wrong one costs you a week. If nothing sticks, you are probably holding the older phone, and it has its own page.
The same test tells you one more thing. A 17e that should snap and does not has usually had its back panel off at some point. A replaced back is not a rule on its own. It does tend to arrive with a chip or a crack somewhere along the rim, and any crack or chip grades the phone Faulty. So while the charger is in your hand, run a fingernail around the edge of the back glass and across the camera lens cover. If nothing catches, pick your wear grade normally.
The rest is plain. We buy an iPhone 17e cracked, scratched, engraved or with a dead battery, and Faulty is a row with money in it rather than a refusal. A phone that will not power on is the one we cannot price. It cannot be tested, and your data cannot be cleared off it. We will recycle that one for free instead. The price you accept is held for 14 days, and postage is free in both directions.

HOW IT WORKS
Pick 256GB or 512GB, set the network and choose a grade. Do the magnet check first if you are not certain whether this is a 17e or a 16e, because quoting the wrong model wastes a week. Once you accept an iPhone 17e Buyback price it stays open for fourteen days.
A prepaid USPS label comes through by email. Sign out of iCloud and wipe the phone before you seal the box, and put something soft on both faces so the screen is not resting against cardboard. The phone on its own is fine, we do not want the cable, the box or the case and none of them add to the offer.
Somebody checks the phone by hand within two days of it reaching us, and the payment is sent the same day it clears. Gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. If what arrives does not match what you told us, you get the revised figure and a straight choice: take it, or have the phone posted back at no cost.

IPHONE 17E BUYBACK QUESTIONS
Storage and wear. A 512GB in Flawless condition is $420. The same phone in Fair is $228. A 256GB with a cracked screen is $102. Use the quote tool at the top of the page for your exact one.
Hold a MagSafe charger or a magnetic wallet against the back. On an iPhone 17e it snaps on and holds, because there is a magnet ring built into the panel. On an iPhone 16e it slides off, because Apple did not fit magnets to that one at all.
That takes a second and it is more reliable than going by looks. If you have neither a charger nor a magnetic accessory handy, check Settings, General, About and read the Model Name. If it turns out to be the older phone, our sell your iPhone 16e page prices it separately.
First, make sure it is a 17e and not a 16e, since a 16e has no magnets and behaves exactly like this. If it is definitely a 17e, a thick case or a metal card in a wallet case will also stop the charger seating properly, so try it with the case off. If a bare 17e still will not hold a charger, the back panel has probably been off the phone at some point. That on its own is not a Faulty rule, but replaced backs usually come with a chip or a crack around the edge, so check the rim with a fingernail before you choose a grade.
Count the lenses on the back. One means iPhone 17e. Two side by side means iPhone 17, which pays considerably more, so it is worth a glance. Screen sizes back it up: 6.1 inches on the 17e and 6.3 on the 17.
Yes. Any crack or chip on the screen, the back panel or the lens cover means the phone grades Faulty, which pays $102 at 256GB and $114 at 512GB. Those are not huge numbers on a phone at this price point and we are not going to dress them up, but they are better than a drawer. Select Faulty at the quote step and nothing changes at inspection.
That grades Faulty, as does a phone showing a service battery message. Check it in Settings, Battery, Battery Health & Charging, where Maximum Capacity is a single number. Anything at 80 or above and the battery has no bearing on your grade at all. This is a 2026 phone, so most are still comfortably above the line.
Yes. Any button that has stopped working forces Faulty, and that includes the Action button on the left rail as well as the side button and the volume keys. Press each one in turn and confirm it does something. The Action button is easy to forget because plenty of owners never set it up, so open Settings, Action Button, assign it to the flashlight, and give it a squeeze. If the torch comes on, that button is fine.
It is a modest amount and we would rather say so. A Good 256GB is $340 and a Fair one is $204. Nobody is retiring on that. But it is a phone sitting in a drawer losing value every month, the postage costs you nothing, and the money arrives the day after we look at it. If yours is too far gone to carry a price at all, recycling is free and we wipe it either way.
That one we cannot buy. With no power there is no way to test the phone and no way for you to clear your data off it, and we will not put a figure on something neither of us can check. What we will do is take it for free recycling, handled properly, or send it straight back to you. Both journeys are on the same prepaid label and neither costs you anything.
No, not while there is money owing. An installment plan or a lease means the phone is under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Once the balance is settled and the phone is genuinely yours, it quotes like any other iPhone 17e.
Neither. A clean ESN is required on every grade we offer, so a phone reported lost or stolen, blocked by a carrier, or on a blacklist has to go back to you. The same applies to one still signed in to an Apple Account, because it cannot be set up by the next owner. Both are quick to check and quick to fix before you post.
A carrier trade-in is credit trickled onto your phone bill across a new agreement, and it only pays out if you stay. A Buyback is a single payment for the phone, sent the day it clears inspection, with nothing to sign up to.
Your network does change our number, and by different amounts at different grades. Unlocked, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Other are quoted separately, so choose the one your phone is genuinely tied to rather than guessing. For reference, unlocked and Average at 512GB is $342 today, paid in one go rather than trickled onto a phone bill.
It does not. Black, white and soft pink all quote at exactly the same number, and they always have on this model. Colors go in and out of fashion far faster than our pricing does, so pick your storage and your grade and ignore the finish entirely.
Back up anything you want to keep, then open Settings, tap your name at the top, scroll to the bottom and sign out. That is the step that switches Find My off, and it matters more than the erase itself. Then Settings, General, Transfer or Reset iPhone, Erase All Content and Settings.
