IPHONE 17 PRO PAYOUTS
We pay between $221 and $1,042 for an iPhone 17 Pro. Three selections change that figure: capacity, condition, and carrier.
An Unlocked item pays more than a carrier locked item (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc). Carrier locked means the handset is tied to one network until that network releases it. We checked all ninety prices on this model. Unlocked is the highest of the five in every one of the eighteen squares of the grid. T-Mobile is second at every grade and every capacity, then AT&T, then Verizon, and anything else pays least.
Most people call this a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and the difference that matters here is repetition. A carrier's offer is a promotion. It runs for a season and then it is replaced by another one. Ours has to hold up across every iPhone 17 Pro that arrives, one after another, all year. A word like scuffed cannot survive that. A fingernail can. That is why the grades on this page are physical checks rather than adjectives, and why we would rather you ran them yourself.
Turn the phone over. The back is one piece of metal that runs into the rails with no seam, and a square glass panel is set into it near the top. Apple calls that an aluminum unibody. The glass square is the window your wireless charger has to reach through. The iPhone 17 Pro is the first Pro built this way, and the three before it had titanium frames.
Aluminum behaves differently in a pocket. It is softer than titanium, and the color is anodized onto the surface rather than being the metal itself. Corners take dents instead of shrugging them off. The finish rubs pale where your hand grips it.
Almost none of that costs you a grade. A dent, a scuff, a worn corner or a pale patch along the rail is wear. Wear you cannot feel with a fingernail is Average. Wear you can feel is Fair. Both are ordinary prices on this page.
Two things on this body are different, and they take about thirty seconds between them. Lay the phone face down on something properly flat and press each corner in turn. If it rocks, the frame is bent, and a bent frame is Faulty however clean the screen is. A unibody hides a slight bend better than a framed phone does, so trust the flat surface. Then run a fingernail across the square charging window. That panel is glass, not metal. A chip or a crack in it grades the phone Faulty, even though everything around it is aluminum. Owners read that window as part of the body and get it wrong often.
Faulty is a row with a real number in it here, not a refusal. We buy these scratched, dented, cracked and dead-batteried. The price you accept is held for 14 days. HOW IT WORKS
Choose 256GB, 512GB or 1TB, tell us the network, and pick a grade. Do the flat-table rock test and the fingernail check over the charging window first, because those two are the only things on an iPhone 17 Pro that turn ordinary wear into Faulty. Accept the figure and we hold it for fourteen days.
You get a prepaid USPS label by email. Clear the phone off your Apple Account and erase it before it goes anywhere. Then wrap it properly, aluminum corners pick up fresh dents in a loose box and that is a grade you had before you posted it. Keep the charger and the case, they add nothing to the offer.
Your iPhone 17 Pro is inspected within 48 hours of arriving. If it is what you described, payment goes out the same day, by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. If we find a bend or a chipped charging window you had not spotted, you hear the revised number from us before a cent moves, and you can have the phone back free instead.

IPHONE 17 PRO BUYBACK QUESTIONS
Capacity and condition, mostly. A 512GB in Average condition is $793. Push that to Flawless and it is $915. A 1TB that is cracked still carries $266. The tool at the top of the page will give you your exact combination.
No. Dents, scuffs and worn anodizing are wear, and wear is graded not rejected. If you cannot feel it with a fingernail it is Average. If you can feel it, Fair. A phone that has been out of a case for a year usually lands in one of those two and still pays well.
Aluminum shows this more than the titanium the older Pros used, so do not read a scuffed rail as damage. What does drop you to Faulty is a crack, a chip, or a frame that has actually bent. Those are different things from a dent and they are worth checking separately.
Take the case off and lay the phone face down on a flat, hard surface. A kitchen counter or a glass table is ideal, a rug is useless. Press each corner in turn with one finger. Nothing should move. If one corner drops and the opposite one lifts, the phone is bent, and a bent frame is Faulty regardless of how clean the glass is. A unibody disguises a mild bend better than a phone with a separate frame does, so trust the table rather than your eye.
Screen size and storage settle it. The Pro is 6.3 inches, the Pro Max is 6.9, and the difference is obvious once they are side by side. If you have nothing to compare against, open Settings, General, About and read Capacity. Anything reading around 2TB is a Pro Max, because Apple never sold a 2TB Pro. The iPhone 17 Pro Max page carries its own prices and they run higher at every grade.
Look at the back. The iPhone 17 Pro is aluminum with a distinct square glass window set into it for wireless charging, and the camera housing runs the full width of the phone. The iPhone 16 Pro is a titanium frame around a single glass back, with the three lenses clustered in the top left corner instead. Yes. Any crack or chip, front glass, back glass, the charging window or a lens cover, means the phone grades Faulty. That is still a price. Faulty pays $221 at 256GB, $251 at 512GB and $266 at 1TB. Select Faulty when you quote and the number is not revisited when it lands here.
Under 80 percent the phone is Faulty, and so is any phone showing a service battery warning. Look it up rather than estimating: Settings, then Battery, then Battery Health & Charging, and read Maximum Capacity. Anything from 80 upwards is irrelevant to your grade, so a phone at 81 percent is graded purely on how it looks.
Brand New means sealed in the plastic and never switched on. If you have opened the box, activated the phone, or set it up even once, it is not Brand New however perfect it looks. That phone is Flawless, which means no marks at all. There is a second reason to get this right: Brand New is paid through PayPal only, so choosing it removes the gift card, bank transfer and check options at checkout.
We cannot buy it, and the reason is worth saying plainly. If the phone never lights up we cannot verify a single thing about it and you cannot erase your own data from it. Paying for an unknown is bad for both of us. We will still take it off your hands though. The free label works exactly the same, and we will either recycle it responsibly at no charge or post it back to you, whichever you ask for.
Not while the plan is running. A handset on carrier installments or a lease is under a financial obligation, and those are not devices we can purchase. It is not a grading problem, it is an ownership one. Settle the balance, then bring it back and it prices like any other iPhone 17 Pro.
No, on both counts. Every grade we offer, Faulty included, requires a clean ESN, so a handset reported lost or stolen, barred by a network, or sitting on a blacklist has to go back to you. A phone still tied to an Apple Account is the same answer, because nobody downstream can use it. Check the status and sign out before you post, and there is nothing to sort out later.
Yes, and the gap is not identical at every grade. Unlocked, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Other are quoted separately, so choose the one your handset is genuinely tied to. As a benchmark, unlocked and Good at 512GB is $835 right now, paid as one amount rather than shaved off your phone bill for two years.
Settings, General, About, and read the Capacity line. Do not use the free space figure further down, that only tells you what is left. Expect the number to read a little under the label, because a 512GB phone typically shows around 500GB once the software has taken its share. That is normal and it does not mean somebody sold you the wrong phone.
Take a backup, then go to Settings, tap your name, scroll down and sign out of iCloud. Signing out is the part that turns Find My off, and a phone that arrives with Find My still on cannot be processed. Then Settings, General, Transfer or Reset iPhone, Erase All Content and Settings. For what it is worth, every handset that reaches our bench is wiped to Department of Defense standards anyway, including ones we recycle rather than buy. Your own erase is what keeps the sale moving without a phone call.
