SELL YOUR MOTOROLA EDGE (2024)
A Motorola Edge (2024) pays between $4 and $31. It is a 2024 phone, so it still holds some value, though not the kind of value that is going to surprise you. Both ends of that come straight out of our live price feed.

The hardest part of selling a Motorola Edge (2024) is being certain that is what you have. Motorola shipped an Edge (2023) and an Edge (2024) with the same 6.6 inch screen, the same 144Hz, the same 256GB, the same two rear cameras and the same eco leather back. Sitting next to each other on a table, most people could not call it.
The model number settles it in ten seconds. Open Settings, then About phone. XT2405 is the 2024. XT2305 is the Edge (2023). If you would rather do it by hand, this one is the heavier of the two at 174 grams, a fraction thicker at 8.1 mm, and it carries the bigger 5000mAh battery.
Getting that right matters more on this model than on most, because of what Motorola put over the screen. The Edge (2024) uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3, an older cover glass that picks up fine marks more readily than the newer grades do. So on this phone the gap between one grade and the next is usually about how deep a mark is, not how bad it looks under a light.
Switch the screen off, hold it flat, and drag a fingernail slowly across it. If your nail glides over marks you can see but cannot feel, that is Average. If it stops or catches on them, that is Fair. If it drops into a line that runs across the glass, that is a crack, and a crack anywhere on the phone means Faulty however well the thing still works.
Where to sell a used Motorola Edge (2024) has a short answer here: we buy them clean, scratched, cracked and broken. We send a prepaid USPS label by email. Take your Google account off the phone, erase it, take the SIM out, and box it up. Send the phone on its own. Nothing else is priced into your Buyback and nothing else needs to travel.
A person checks your Edge (2024) by hand within 48 hours of it reaching us. If it is what you said it was, payment goes out the same day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every phone gets a Department of Defense grade wipe here whether we buy it or recycle it.

They are close enough that guessing is a bad idea. Same screen size, same refresh rate, same storage, same camera count, same eco leather back. The certain answer is Settings, then About phone: XT2405 is the 2024, XT2305 is the 2023. Failing that, weigh them if you have both, since the 2024 is 174 grams against 168, or check the chip, which is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 on the 2024 and a MediaTek Dimensity 7030 on the 2023. Either one is fine and both quote at the same number on this page. They are the same Motorola Edge (2024) sold through different channels in the US. What does change your price is the carrier the phone is tied to, so pick that accurately at the quote step. You will find the model number and the carrier under Settings, About phone.
Average is light wear you can see but cannot feel with a fingernail. Scuffs on the eco leather, faint swirls in the screen glass, a shiny spot on a corner. It is where most phones of this age genuinely sit once the case comes off. One step up, Good means wear you would not pick out from arm's length. One step down, Fair means heavy wear you can feel, with no cracks or chips anywhere. Faulty is a separate thing entirely: cracks, chips, and anything that no longer works.
No. Scratches are wear, however many there are. Faulty is reserved for cracks, chips and broken function, and a scratched screen is none of those.
Gorilla Glass 3 is the older cover glass, which is why Edge (2024) screens pick up fine marks so readily. Judge them by feel, not by how they catch a lamp. Nail glides over them, Average. Nail catches, Fair. Nail drops into a running line, that is a crack and it does move you to Faulty.
Yes. A crack or a chip anywhere, screen or camera glass, grades the phone Faulty, and Faulty is a price on this page rather than a rejection. Whatever it looks like, quote it as Faulty and the figure you accept is the figure we pay. What we cannot do is buy a phone so damaged it will not display anything or respond to touch, because we cannot test it or clear your data off it. Those we recycle free.
It does, and it is worth a ten second look even on a phone this young. The Edge (2024) has a pOLED screen, and OLED panels can keep a faint permanent shadow of whatever sat still on them, usually the clock or the navigation bar. Burn-in grades Faulty. Show a plain white image at full brightness and tilt the phone; if you can still read a shape through the white, that is burn-in. No. There is no battery percentage on a Motorola Edge (2024) and no threshold you have to clear, so please do not go hunting for a battery health screen. Battery only reaches your grade through the general rule: if a part of the phone has stopped working, the phone is Faulty. A battery that simply does not go as far as it used to is normal and changes nothing about your quote.
Not for money, no. Without power there is no way to test the phone and no way to erase your photos, messages and saved passwords, and we will not price something we cannot clear. What we can do is take it for free recycling: our label, our postage, a Department of Defense grade wipe once it is here, and proper disposal after that. If you would rather keep it, we mail it back at no charge.
Not while the balance is open. A phone on an installment plan or a lease sits under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Your carrier will give you a payoff figure over the phone or in their app. Clear it, then quote the phone here as normal. A 2024 phone is the most likely one in the Edge family to still have payments running, so it is worth checking rather than assuming.
None of those, and each has its own reason.
A Google account lock is the one you can fix yourself. Remove the account in Settings, Passwords and accounts, and do it before you reset the phone. Reset it first and it locks against your own account, which nobody can undo for you.
Blacklisted, reported lost or stolen, or blocked by a carrier all sit on the IMEI, and none of them can be cleared from your end. We have to turn those down at every grade. Check the IMEI under Settings, About phone before you go any further.
Order matters. First, Settings, Passwords and accounts, and remove your Google account. Second, Settings, System, Reset options, Erase all data. That sequence takes the lock off and then wipes the phone, which is what leaves it usable for whoever gets it next. Step by step with pictures is on our erase your device page. They add nothing. Nothing has to be in the box on a Motorola, so keep the charger, keep the cable, keep the case, and keep the box if you like boxes. Send the phone by itself with the SIM removed. Fewer things in the package means fewer things to go astray between your door and ours.
On a 2024 Motorola it can, and we would rather point that out than have you find it later. Carrier offers on recent Androids can look large, but they usually arrive as bill credits spread over two or three years, tied to a new line and to you staying put.
