This one causes more confusion than any other question on this model, because the cooler genuinely did come in the retail box, so it feels like part of the phone rather than an accessory. It is not treated as one here. Accessories are not priced into any grade, which means a ROG Phone 3 with its cooler and one without are quoted at exactly the same number.

So keep it. If you have lost it, that costs you nothing. If you still have it, it is worth more sold on its own than it would add here, which is zero.

It can. The 144Hz panel is AMOLED, and AMOLED burns in when the same thing sits in the same pixels for long enough, which game overlays do. Put a plain white image on the screen at full brightness and look for a faint permanent shadow of a map, a bar or a control ring. Anything you find means Faulty. They do. They are ultrasonic pressure zones on the right hand edge with no moving parts, so nothing about them is visible and it is easy to forget they exist. Hold the phone in landscape, map them in Armoury Crate, then squeeze each one. If a trigger does not register, that is a part of the phone that has failed, and the phone grades Faulty.

Test the power and volume buttons, the under-display fingerprint reader, both USB-C ports, both speakers, the mic and the cameras. No. There is no battery percentage rule on any Android phone here, so skip the hunt for a health screen. A 6000 mAh battery that is five years old will hold less than it did and that is normal wear, not a grading question. Only a battery that has genuinely failed counts, meaning one that will not charge at all or that drops the phone dead with charge showing, and that gets handled as a functionality fault.

Not for a price. Without power we cannot test the phone and we cannot clear your data off it, and paying for something we cannot open is not something we do. Recycling is free instead. Use the same prepaid label, we wipe it to DoD standards, and it is disposed of properly. If you want it back rather than recycled, that is free too.

No, and they are two separate things worth checking separately. First, a Google account lock, also known as FRP, has to be off before the phone leaves you, which happens when you sign out of your account and erase the phone. A locked phone cannot be purchased at any grade. Second, the IMEI has to come back clean. Lost, stolen, blacklisted or carrier blocked all fail that check and we return the phone rather than pay for it.

Not while the balance is live. A phone on an installment plan or a lease is under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. It is a delay rather than a refusal. Once it is paid off and yours, quote it here and it is treated like any other ROG Phone 3.
