A Razer Phone 2 pays from $3 up to $26. It is a 2018 phone and the numbers reflect that. What they do not reflect is how much this thing cost new, so read the grades honestly rather than hopefully, and you will get the figure you were quoted.
Most people call this a trade-in. We call it a Buyback. The difference is that our number comes from a person holding your phone, checking it, and telling you what they found.
Now the part specific to this model. The Razer logo on the back of a Razer Phone 2 is not printed on. It is a Chroma RGB panel, a lit component with power running to it, and Razer let you set its color and effect in the Chroma app. That makes it a working part of the phone rather than decoration.
So plug the phone in, open the Chroma settings, and cycle it. Set it to a solid color, then to breathing, then change the color. The whole logo should light evenly and follow every instruction. A logo that stays dark, flickers, lights in patches or ignores the app is a part of the phone that has stopped working, and on an Android phone anything that has stopped working grades Faulty. Faulty is a real price here, not a refusal, but it is a much smaller one, so it is worth thirty seconds to know before you quote.
Two more this phone is prone to. It is a gaming phone with a vapor chamber inside, so if yours gets hot enough to throttle hard, stutter or shut itself down during a game, that is a fault and not a personality. And the screen is an IGZO LCD, which cannot burn in, so ignore any advice about hunting for ghost images and just check the glass for cracks.
Where to sell a used Razer Phone 2 has become a narrow question, because Razer stopped at two phones and few buyers still price them. We quote them working, cracked or dead. A phone that will not power on cannot be bought, but free recycling and a free return are both open to you.

We send a prepaid USPS label to your inbox. Before it goes: sign out of your Google account, erase the phone, then wrap it. The glass back scratches, so pad it. The charger, cable and box stay with you, because none of them are priced in.
Inspection happens within 48 hours of your phone reaching us. If it is what you described, payment leaves that same day, by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every device gets a DoD-grade wipe here, including ones we only recycle.

RAZER PHONE 2 BUYBACK QUESTIONS
A Flawless one, meaning no marks at all anywhere on the glass or the frame, pays $25. Plenty of these lived in a case and never came out, so Flawless is more common on this model than on most eight year old phones. Light wear you would not notice at arm's length is Good at $15. It does, and this is the one thing owners of this phone rarely think about. That logo is a Chroma RGB panel with power running to it, not a sticker, and Razer built a whole app around controlling it. A part that no longer works makes the phone Faulty, which pays $3. That is the honest answer and it is a big drop, so test it properly before you decide: open the Chroma settings, set a solid color, change the color, then set it to breathing. Even, full, responsive is a pass. Dark, patchy, flickering, or not answering the app is not.
Warm is normal, hot enough to misbehave is not. The Razer Phone 2 has a vapor chamber in it precisely so it can run hard without cooking, so if yours now throttles down within a few minutes, stutters badly, shows a temperature warning, or shuts itself off mid game, something inside is not doing its job and the phone grades Faulty. A phone that simply gets warm in your hand after half an hour is behaving exactly as designed and changes nothing about your grade.
It cannot. This is an IGZO LCD panel, and burn-in is something only OLED screens do. Nothing on this page asks you to look for a ghosted status bar. Check the glass for cracks instead, since that is what actually moves the grade.
Yes, and the back cracks more often than the front on this model, because Razer switched to glass to make wireless charging work. Either way the answer is the same. Any crack, any chip, front, back or camera lens, means Faulty. It does not matter that everything still works. Pick Faulty when you quote and there will be no surprise at our end or yours.
Look at the back. Glass with a Razer logo that glows in color is the Razer Phone 2. Matte aluminum with a plain logo that never lights is the original. If you can set the phone on a wireless charging pad and it charges, that is also the second one, because the first has no wireless charging at all. Same rule, same outcome. On Android we do not run a checklist, we run a principle: anything on the phone that does not work makes it Faulty. Both front speakers have to play cleanly, the power button has to click and read your fingerprint, the volume keys have to respond, the USB-C port has to charge without wiggling the cable, and the cameras have to focus. Two minutes of testing gets you an accurate quote.
No percentage rule applies here. We do not ask for a battery health reading on any Android phone, so do not go hunting for one in Settings. Only a battery that has genuinely failed matters, meaning one that will not take a charge or that drops the phone dead at 30 percent, and that gets picked up as a functionality fault. Reduced life on a battery this old is expected and costs you nothing.
None of it. Nothing is required in the box beyond the phone. Chargers, cables, cases, the adapter that came with it and the original packaging are not priced into any grade, so they add nothing and can only get lost between your house and ours. Keep them or pass them on.
Not for money, no. If the phone will not power up we cannot test it and we cannot clear your data off it, and we are not going to pay for something we cannot verify. We will take it for recycling at no charge though. Same free label, same DoD-grade wipe once it arrives, and it gets disposed of properly rather than sitting in a drawer. If you would rather keep it, we mail it back free.
Not until it is yours outright. Anything with a balance running on it, an installment plan or a lease, counts as being under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Finish the payments and the phone quotes normally the same day.
Neither one. A Google account lock, also called FRP, stops us buying at any grade, and the fix is in your hands: sign out of your Google account and erase the phone before you mail it. A clean IMEI is the second requirement. Reported lost or stolen, blacklisted, or blocked by a carrier all fail it, and we turn those down rather than pay for something that cannot be resold.
Razer sold these unlocked and direct rather than through carrier stores, so the table on this page is the unlocked pricing and it is the one nearly everybody needs. Quote it as unlocked. Where a carrier version does exist in our system it never pays above the unlocked figure, so you are not leaving money behind by using this table.
Unlikely. Carriers mostly do not list this phone at all, and where they do the offer arrives as credit against your bill over 24 months rather than money in your account, and it depends on you keeping that line open. Ours arrives once, as money, the day your phone clears inspection. Go and get their number if you want to be sure. If it is higher, take it, and we will not be offended.
Erasing first: Settings, then System, then Reset options, then Erase all data. Sign out of your Google account before you run it. Photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and cannot be recovered. There is a step by step version on our erase your device page.
