SELL YOUR MOTO G100
A Moto G100 pays between $7 and $39 here. That is real money for a 2021 phone that has been living in a drawer, and getting the number takes about a minute.
Most people call it a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and the price is different because a person opens the box and checks the phone by hand instead of a machine guessing at it.
The Moto G100 keeps its fingerprint reader inside the power button on the right edge. One small part does two jobs. It wakes the phone, and it reads your thumb.
Test both, because each one can cost you the same way. Lock the screen and press the button once. It should click and the display should come on. Now rest your thumb flat on that same button without pressing. The phone should open. A button that no longer clicks, or a reader that stops knowing a thumb you have just re-registered, is a part of the phone that has stopped working, and anything that has stopped working on an Android phone grades Faulty.
Worth knowing before you pick a grade: the Moto G100 is a big, heavy phone at 207 grams with a screen that runs the full 6.7 inches corner to corner, so it lands hard. Any crack or chip, on the screen or on the back, sends it to Faulty on its own, even when the phone works perfectly.
Where to sell a used Moto G100 is really a question of who still quotes one. We buy them worn, we buy them broken, and we buy them alongside the newer Moto G models. If yours will not power on we cannot buy it, because we cannot test it or clear your data, but we will recycle it free or mail it back to you free.
An unlocked Moto G100 pays the most here at every grade. AT&T and T-Mobile handsets quote lower, and a Verizon one lower again, so pick the carrier you actually have rather than the one you would like.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a Moto G100 runs from $7 up to $39. A 128GB in Good condition is $34, which is where most of them land.
How much you can sell yours for comes down to storage and wear. Every figure below is pulled live from our own price feed, so it is what we are paying today rather than what we paid last quarter.
| Comparison row | 128GB | 256GB |
|---|---|---|
Brand New | $39 | $0 |
Flawless | $37 | $0 |
Good | $34 | $0 |
Average | $27 | $0 |
Fair | $20 | $0 |
Faulty | $7 | $0 |
HOW IT WORKS
Pick 128GB or 256GB, pick your carrier, and pick the grade that matches the wear. Run a fingernail across the screen and the back before you choose. If it catches on anything, that counts as a scratch even when you cannot see it in the light.
Accept the number and your Buyback price is locked for 14 days.
We email you a prepaid USPS label. Tape the box shut, drop it off, and you can track it the whole way to us.
Sign out of your Google account first. Settings, then Accounts, then remove the account, then factory reset. A Moto G100 that arrives still signed in is a phone we cannot buy.
A person checks your Moto G100 by hand within 48 hours of it landing, and we tell you what we found rather than quietly changing the number.
If it matches what you described, payment goes out the same day. Gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check, your choice.

Not sure which Moto G you have? Open Settings, tap About phone, and read the line called Model & hardware. The XT number there is the only reliable answer.

MOTO G100 BUYBACK QUESTIONS
Storage and wear decide it. A 128GB in Good condition is $34. The same phone with heavy wear you can feel with a fingernail is Fair, and that is $20. A cracked one is Faulty and still pays $7. Use the quote tool at the top of the page for your exact phone.
Somewhere that still quotes a 2021 Motorola at all, and that tells you what it found when it opens the box. We wipe every device to Department of Defense standards, we track the package both ways, and we say what we found before we pay. Returns are free if you do not like the number.
Yes. A crack does not stop the sale, it sets the grade. Any crack or chip anywhere on a Moto G100, screen or back or camera glass, is Faulty. There is no partial credit for a small one. Faulty is a row in our price table rather than a rejection, and on a 128GB it pays $7.
Light wear that you cannot pick out from arm's length. Hold the phone at the distance you would hold it to read a message. If nothing jumps out, that is Good. If you can see marks from there but a fingernail glides over them, that is Average. If your fingernail catches, that is Fair. Any crack at all, and the grade is Faulty regardless of everything above.
No. There is no battery rule on this phone and no percentage you need to look up. Do not go hunting for a battery health screen, because the number there does not enter our grading. The only way a battery touches your grade is if it has actually stopped working, and a part that has stopped working makes the phone Faulty like any other fault would.
Faulty. Delete every saved fingerprint first, then register one again slowly with a clean dry thumb, lock the phone and try it three times. If it still will not open, the reader has failed. On an Android phone, anything that does not work makes it Faulty, and that covers the reader, the power button it sits in, the speakers, the mic and the cameras.
It depends on what you want. A carrier hands you bill credit, paid out over 24 or 36 months, and only if you stay on that line the whole time. We hand you cash, once, within a day of checking the phone. If you are leaving the carrier anyway, or you want the money now, the Buyback is the one that actually reaches your bank.
No, and here is the reason. A phone that will not power on cannot be tested, and more to the point your photos, messages and saved passwords cannot be erased from it. We will not pay for something we cannot clear. Send it in anyway and we will recycle it free, wiping the storage to Department of Defense standards on the way, or we will mail it straight back at our cost.
We still buy it, at the carrier price rather than the unlocked one. Pick AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon or Other in the quote tool and you will see the difference straight away. Unlocked pays the most on this model at every grade, so if the carrier will release it before you ship, it is worth the phone call.
Then we cannot buy it at any grade, and neither can anyone else. A Google account lock, sometimes called an FRP lock, leaves the phone useless to the next owner. Remove the account before the factory reset, not after. A phone reset while still signed in comes back up asking for the old password and the reset does not clear it. Blacklisted, lost, stolen and carrier blocked phones are the same answer.
No. We do not purchase devices under financial obligations, which covers anything still on an installment plan or a lease. Clear the balance with the carrier first and the phone becomes yours to sell.
Back up anything you want to keep, then go to Settings, Accounts, and remove your Google account. Then Settings, System, Reset options, Erase all data. Take the SIM and the microSD card out of the tray before you box it up. We run a Department of Defense grade wipe on arrival as well, on every device, including the ones we end up recycling rather than buying.
Payment leaves the same day the phone clears inspection, which is inside 48 hours of arrival. Gift card is emailed and averages about 3 percent more, because the brands add their own bonus. PayPal is instant and PayPal charges 2.99 percent. Bank transfer takes 2 to 4 days and a check takes 3 to 5. A Brand New sealed phone is paid by PayPal only.
No. Keep them. Nothing except the phone is priced in on a Moto G100, and accessories in the box only add weight. The one exception is a sealed unopened phone, where Brand New means everything as it left the factory.
Storage, carrier, grade. About a minute of your time, and the number holds for 14 days.
