SELL YOUR MOTO G POWER (2023)
Motorola named this phone after its battery. Five thousand milliamp hours, most of two days between charges if you were careful with it, and that is what sold it. So this is the first thing worth saying: the battery is the one part of a Moto G Power (2023) that has nothing to do with what we pay you for it.
There is no battery rule here. No percentage to hit, no screen we want you to go and read, nothing lost for three years of plugging it in every night. A tired battery costs you exactly zero. A battery that has genuinely stopped working is different, because that is a broken part, and a broken part puts any Android phone in Faulty the same way a dead speaker does. That is the only route the battery takes into your grade.
A word on names while we are here. Carriers do trade-ins. We do Buybacks, which means we buy the phone outright instead of crediting it against something you then have to buy from us.
Now the unflattering part, because you will see it in the grid below anyway. A Moto G Power (2023) sits at the very bottom of what we quote, and we are not going to dress that up or bury it under a paragraph about how easy the process is. Read your row, and if it is not worth the trip, our free recycling offer is genuinely free and the phone still gets wiped properly.
What does change the grade is wear. Run a fingernail slowly across the screen and the back. Marks you can see but cannot feel are Average. Marks that catch the nail are Fair. Most three year old budget phones that have lived without a case land in one of those two rows, and there is no shame in either.
Two things override all of that. Any crack or chip, front glass or back panel, makes the phone Faulty on its own even when it works perfectly. And anything that has stopped working does the same: a speaker that buzzes, a camera that will not focus, a power button that no longer clicks, a charging port that only works if you hold the cable at an angle.
Where to sell a used Moto G Power (2023), or a broken one, comes down to who will quote a cheap phone at all. We will, and we quote the Moto G 5G (2024) next to it. The one we cannot buy is a phone that will not power on, because we cannot test it and we cannot erase your photos, messages and saved passwords from it. That one gets free recycling or a free trip home, whichever you ask for.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a Moto G Power (2023) is in the grid below, read live from our own price feed every time the page loads. Storage runs across the top, condition down the side.
How much you can sell yours for turns on capacity and wear, and nothing else. The quote tool at the top of the page reads from the same feed and also asks which carrier you are on.
| Comparison row | 128GB | 256GB |
|---|---|---|
Brand New | $0 | $2 |
Flawless | $0 | $2 |
Good | $0 | $0 |
Average | $0 | $0 |
Fair | $0 | $0 |
Faulty | $0 | $0 |
HOW IT WORKS
Pick the capacity, the carrier and the grade. Do the fingernail pass first so you are choosing from the phone rather than from memory, and ignore the battery entirely, since it is not part of this.
Whatever Buyback price you accept is held for 14 days.
The prepaid USPS label is emailed to you. Wrap it, tape it, drop it off, and the tracking is live from that moment.
Remove the Google account under Settings before you factory reset. Keep the SIM and the memory card. Skipping the first step is what leaves a phone locked and unsellable at the other end.
We check it by hand within 48 hours of arrival and tell you what we found, in writing, before anything is paid.
If it matches, the money goes out that day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. If you want the phone back instead, that trip is free too.

MOTO G POWER (2023) BUYBACK QUESTIONS
Capacity and wear decide it, and the live grid above shows every combination we quote. Run the tool at the top of the page for your exact handset, since it also asks the carrier question. Be honest about the wear when you do, because the same phone gets looked at by a person at our end.
No. There is no percentage rule on this phone, no minimum figure, and no battery screen you need to open. It is the single biggest difference between how we grade an Android phone and how the iPhone pages read, and it catches people out constantly. Age and charge cycles cost you nothing here.
Not on its own. A battery that has weakened with age is still a working battery, and a working battery has no effect on your grade at all. What does matter is a battery that has failed outright, one that will not charge or will not hold enough charge to run the phone, because that is a part that no longer works and that makes the phone Faulty.
Yes. A crack does not end the sale, it fixes the grade at Faulty. The rule covers the front glass, the back panel and the camera glass, and a hairline crack counts exactly the same as a shattered one.
Your fingernail. Drag it slowly across the screen and the back panel. If it glides over marks you can see, that is Average. If it catches on anything, that is Fair, even when the mark is invisible in normal light. Neither one has a crack in it. The moment there is a crack you are in Faulty regardless.
That is Faulty. Any functionality issue at all sends an Android phone to the bottom grade, and it is a principle rather than a checklist. Play a song out loud and listen for buzzing. Plug the cable in and let go of it. Press every button. Open the camera and check both lenses focus. If everything responds, you are grading on wear alone.
Sometimes on paper, rarely in practice on a phone this old. The carrier offer is bill credit spread over 24 or 36 months and it usually needs a new line or a new handset attached to it. Ours is cash, once, a day after we check the phone, with nothing attached. Compare the two properly before you decide, and if theirs genuinely pays more, take it.
Then do not sell it to us. That is a real answer, not a sales line. You can send it in for free recycling instead, which costs you nothing, includes the same Department of Defense grade wipe, and keeps it out of a drawer and out of landfill. Or keep it as a spare. We would rather you did either of those than felt pushed into a number you are unhappy with.
No. We cannot test a phone that has no power, and we cannot clear your data off it, which is the part that really stops us. Send it in and it gets recycled free with a full wipe, or posted back to you free.
Then it cannot be bought at any grade. The FRP lock outlives a factory reset, so the phone comes up asking for a password the next owner will never have. Remove the account in Settings first, then reset, and it clears. If the account details are gone, only Google can help and we cannot do anything from our side. The same goes for blacklisted, lost, stolen and carrier blocked handsets.
It changes the price, not the answer. We buy carrier locked handsets, just at that carrier's rate rather than the unlocked one, so choose the right option in the quote tool. If your carrier will release the phone before you post it, that is worth asking about first.
No. We do not purchase devices under financial obligations, and that includes installment plans and leases however small the remaining balance is. Settle it, then it is yours to sell.
Back everything up first, because none of this is reversible. Settings, Passwords & accounts, remove the Google account. Then Settings, System, Reset options, Erase all data. Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased at that point and they cannot be recovered. Take out the SIM and the memory card before you box it. We run our own Department of Defense grade wipe on arrival regardless of what you did.
Inspection is finished within 48 hours of the parcel arriving and the payment goes out the same day it clears. Gift card is emailed and lands about 3 percent higher because the brands add a bonus. PayPal is instant and PayPal takes 2.99 percent. Bank transfer is 2 to 4 days, a check 3 to 5. Sealed Brand New handsets are PayPal only.
Neither. Keep the charger, keep the case, and definitely take the memory card out, because it usually holds your photos. Only the phone itself is priced.
Capacity, carrier, condition. One minute, and the number is yours for 14 days.
