Your Fold7 has two screens and both of them are OLED. That matters more than it sounds. Screen burn-in is an automatic Faulty on every Samsung phone we buy, and a Fold is the only phone in our catalogue where you have to check for it twice.
Here is the test. Charge the phone, push the brightness to full, and open a plain white image so it fills the screen. Open the phone out and look across the 8.0-inch inner panel at an angle, in a dim room. You are hunting for a ghost: the clock, the battery icon, the faint outline of a keyboard, stuck in place where it should not be. Then fold the phone shut and do exactly the same thing on the 6.5-inch cover screen.
The cover screen is the one that catches people out. On a Fold7 it is a full 21:9 phone screen, and most owners live on it all day with the same clock in the same corner. It burns in first, and nobody thinks to look, because they picture the big screen when they hear the word screen.
One thing that is not a fault: the crease. Every Fold has a line down the middle of the inner panel where it bends. Samsung calls it a normal characteristic of the design. It is not damage and it does not move your grade.

HOW IT WORKS
Pick 256GB, 512GB or 1TB, pick your network, pick the grade. Run the white screen check on both panels before you choose, because burn-in is the one thing that drops a Fold7 that looks perfect to the bottom row. The Buyback price you accept is held for 14 days.
We email you a prepaid USPS label. Sign out of your Google account so no FRP lock is waiting for us, then erase the phone from Settings. Fold it shut, wrap it, box it. Keep the charger, the case and any stylus you own. We cannot pay for those.
A person opens your Fold7 and checks it by hand within 48 hours of it arriving. If it matches what you told us, the money leaves the same day as a gift card, a PayPal transfer, a bank transfer or a check. Every phone gets a Department of Defense grade wipe, bought or not.

Size and wear decide it. A 512GB Fold7 in Good condition pays $750. The same phone at 256GB pays $710, and a 1TB pays $780. Good means light wear you would not notice from arm's length, which is where most Fold7s that have lived in a case land. Quote yours at the top of the page for the exact figure.
No. The crease is where the panel bends and every Galaxy Z Fold has one. Samsung's own support answer calls it a normal characteristic of the folding design rather than a defect. It does not count as damage, it does not count as a scratch, and it will not push you into a lower grade. Grade the phone on everything else and ignore the line.
Do it in a dim room with the brightness turned all the way up. Open a plain white image full screen. Unfold the phone and tilt the 8.0-inch inner panel until the light rakes across it, then look for anything faintly printed into the white: the clock, the battery icon, the row of keyboard keys, a shadow of the navigation bar. Fold it shut and repeat on the 6.5-inch cover screen.
If either panel shows a ghost, the phone grades Faulty even if it works perfectly and looks new. Both screens are OLED and the rule covers both.
Yes, and it does not matter which screen. A crack or a chip in the inner panel, the cover screen, the back or a lens cover all put the phone in Faulty. That is a price, not a refusal: $142 at 256GB and $156 at 1TB. Pick Faulty when you quote and nothing changes when it reaches us.
Yes. A hinge is a moving part and a Samsung phone with any functionality issue grades Faulty, so a hinge that has stopped doing its job takes the phone to the bottom row.
Test it with your hands, not your eyes. Open the phone slowly and listen: a soft sound is normal, a grinding or crunching one is not. Stop it halfway and let go, because a healthy Fold7 holds the angle you leave it at. Then close it and lay it flat on a table. The two halves should meet along their whole length with no wedge between them. Failing any of those three is Faulty.
Open it up and look at the shape. The Fold7's inner screen is 8.0 inches and close to square, and its cover screen is 6.5 inches in a tall 21:9 shape that works like a normal phone. A Fold6 is 7.6 inches inside and 6.3 outside, and it feels narrower in the hand. The thickness is the easier tell: a folded Fold7 is 8.9 mm, a folded Fold6 is 12.1 mm, and you can feel that in a pocket. The Fold7 weighs 215g against 239g. Light wear that disappears at arm's length. Hold the phone out at reading distance in daylight: if you cannot pick out any marks from there, it is Good. Drag a fingernail over the cover glass and the frame, and if it catches on something you cannot see, that is a scratch and you are into Average or Fair depending on how much of it there is. Any crack, any chip, any burn-in or anything that has stopped working is Faulty regardless of how tidy the rest of the phone looks.
Check what is underneath before you assume the worst. The Fold7 leaves the factory with a protective layer bonded to the inner panel, and Samsung does not recommend that owners pull it off. A protector lifting at the crease is common and it is not a crack. Look through it at the panel itself: if the display underneath is intact and everything still responds to touch, grade the phone on its actual condition. If the panel below is cracked, or the touch has gone dead in that strip, that is a functionality issue and it grades Faulty. Leave the film on and let us look at it.
No. There is no battery percentage rule on Samsung phones, so do not go looking for a battery health screen to prove anything with. Battery only reaches your grade through the general rule: if the battery has genuinely stopped working, that is a functionality issue and the phone grades Faulty. A Fold7 that just does not last as long as it used to is fine.
We cannot buy that one. A phone with no power cannot be tested and your data cannot be cleared off it, and we will not put a price on a device we have not been able to open. What we will do is recycle it for free, wiped to Department of Defense standards on the way out. If you would rather have it back, we post it back free.
Not while there is a balance on it. We do not purchase devices under financial obligations, and a Fold7 sitting on a carrier installment plan or a lease is exactly that. Settle it, own it outright, then quote it here as normal.
Those stop the sale before grading starts. A phone reported lost or stolen, blacklisted or blocked by a carrier is one we do not buy at any grade. Same answer for a Google account lock or an FRP lock still sitting on the phone, and same answer for a tripped Knox counter. The fix for the Google lock is in your hands: sign out of your account and erase the phone from Settings before you post it, and it quotes normally.
On this model, yes. Unlocked tops the table at every size and every grade, which is why the prices above are the unlocked ones. If your Fold7 is on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile or another network, pick that network in the quote tool and you will see the number for it rather than guessing from this table.
Four ways, and you choose at the quote step. A gift card averages about 3 percent more than the cash figure because the brands add their own bonus on top. PayPal is instant and PayPal charges a 2.99 percent fee on it. A bank transfer takes 2 to 4 days and a check takes 3 to 5. One exception worth knowing before you pick: a Brand New Fold7, sealed and never activated, is paid by PayPal only. Whichever you choose, the money goes out the same day your phone clears inspection.
Compare the two things they actually give you. A carrier offers bill credit, usually spread over 24 or 36 months, and it disappears if you leave the network early.
