SELL YOUR GALAXY A54 5G
A Galaxy A54 5G pays between $8 and $64. Small money, and we would rather say so than dress it up. This was a mid-range phone in 2023 and it is a three year old mid-range phone now. Storage moves the number more than you would expect here, so check which one you have before you quote it.
Most people call it a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and here's why the price is different. The carrier gives you credit against a new line and never opens the box. We open it, check the phone by hand, wipe it to Department of Defense standards, and tell you what we found.
Here is the thing that confuses people about this phone. Samsung never sold a Galaxy A55 in the United States. The US line runs A53, then A54, then straight to the A56 in 2025. So the A54 was the newest A5x you could buy here for two full years, and anyone in the US holding what they think is an A55 is holding an import or an A54. Settings, then About phone, settles it: a US A54 reads SM-A546U or SM-A546U1.
The A54 is also the model where Samsung put glass on the back of an A5x for the first time. The A53 before it has a plastic back that scuffs and dents. The A54 has Gorilla Glass 5 on both faces, and glass does not dent, it cracks. Tilt the back under a lamp before you pick a condition. A crack or a chip back there grades the phone Faulty even though it powers on, takes photos and looks fine from the front.
You can sell your Galaxy A54 5G here whether it is mint or wrecked. Sell a broken one, sell a cracked one, sell one that has been in a drawer since you upgraded. The only phone we cannot price is one that will not power on, because we cannot test it or clear your data off it, and that one we recycle for free instead.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a Galaxy A54 5G runs from $8 for a cracked 128GB up to $64 for an unmarked 256GB. The 256GB pays about ten dollars more than the 128GB at every step of the ladder, which on a phone this cheap is a meaningful slice.
Prices are pulled live from our feed. Whichever one you accept is yours for 14 days.
| Comparison row | 128GB | 256GB |
|---|---|---|
Brand New | $54 | $64 |
Flawless | $54 | $64 |
Good | $38 | $49 |
Average | $30 | $39 |
Fair | $23 | $29 |
Faulty | $8 | $10 |
HOW IT WORKS
Choose 128GB or 256GB, name your carrier, and pick the condition. Check the back glass under a lamp first. The Buyback price you accept holds for 14 days, so nothing moves under you while the phone is in the mail.
A prepaid USPS label lands in your inbox. Sign out of your Google account, turn Find My Mobile off, pull the SIM and the memory card, then run the factory reset. Box the phone on its own. The charger and the case are worth more to you than to us.
We inspect within 48 hours of the box arriving. Match the description and payment goes out that same day, by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Bought or recycled, every phone gets a Department of Defense wipe before it goes anywhere.

GALAXY A54 5G BUYBACK QUESTIONS
Storage and condition, in that order. An unmarked 256GB is $64. The same phone with light wear you cannot see across a room is $49, and with wear you can feel it is $29. A 128GB sits about ten dollars below each of those. Quote yours at the top of the page for the exact figure.
Feel the back. The A54 is glass, cold and smooth, and it shows fingerprints. The A53 is plastic and feels slightly warm and dry by comparison. The A54's screen is also a touch smaller, 6.4 inches against 6.5.
For certainty, open Settings and tap About phone. SM-A546U or SM-A546U1 is an A54. SM-A536U or SM-A536U1 is an A53. They are worth different money, so it is worth checking rather than guessing.
Almost certainly this one. Samsung did not sell the Galaxy A55 in the United States at all: the US jumped from the A54 in 2023 to the A56 in 2025. If your model number starts SM-A556 you are holding an imported A55 and we would need to quote that separately. If it reads SM-A546, it is an A54 and this page is the right one.
Because the wear is what we are pricing, and a sealed phone and a spotless one arrive in the same state. There is a practical difference though, and it is worth knowing: Brand New is paid by PayPal only, so PayPal's 2.99 percent fee comes off. If your A54 has been opened but carries no marks at all, quote it as Flawless. Same money, and all four payment methods stay open to you.
It grades Faulty. Any crack or chip, front glass, back glass or a camera lens cover, puts the phone in the bottom row whatever else is true about it. On a 128GB that is $8 and on a 256GB it is $10. We know that stings on a phone that still works perfectly. Choose Faulty anyway, because choosing anything else just means the phone gets regraded here and the number changes without you.
Distance and touch. Good is wear you cannot see at arm's length. Average is wear you can see up close but cannot feel with a fingernail dragged across it. Fair is wear you can feel, deep enough to catch a nail, with no cracks and no chips anywhere. Flawless means no marks at all. Run the fingernail test in daylight rather than judging by eye, because eyes are kind and fingernails are not.
No, and this is where Samsung differs from Apple. We do not apply a battery percentage rule to Galaxy phones, so there is no health screen to check and no number to hit. A battery that charges and gets you through part of a day is fine. A battery that will not charge at all, or that kills the phone at 30 percent, counts as a part that has stopped working, and anything on the phone that has stopped working means Faulty.
Yes. The A54 uses a Super AMOLED panel and those can retain a ghost of anything left static for long enough, usually the keyboard or a navigation bar. Burn-in grades the phone Faulty. Open a plain white image at full brightness and look for faint shapes. Our Galaxy S23 Plus page carries the longer walkthrough if the first look leaves you unsure.
You can. Pick your carrier in the quote tool rather than reading the table above, because the table is for unlocked phones and a locked one is priced separately. If your account is settled and the phone qualifies, most carriers will release it on request, and an unlocked A54 is worth more to us. Worth a phone call before you post it.
Then it is not yours to sell yet. We do not purchase devices under financial obligations, which covers installment plans and leases. Ring the carrier, ask for the payoff figure, clear it, and the phone becomes ordinary stock we can quote like any other.
No, on either count, and no grade rescues it. A phone still tied to a Google account after a reset is FRP locked and cannot be set up by anyone else. The fix takes a minute before you send it: remove your Google account, switch off Find My Mobile, then reset.
The same door closes on a phone reported lost or stolen, blocked by a carrier, or with a tripped Knox counter from rooting or custom firmware. Knox does not reset once it has gone, and we cannot buy the phone after it has.
We stop and offer you two free options instead of a price. A phone that will not start cannot be tested, and more importantly your data cannot be cleared off it, so putting a number on it would be a guess. Send it on the free label and we will recycle it, wiped to Department of Defense standards first. Or ask for it back and it comes home, also free.
No to all three, and the memory card is the important one. Accessories are not priced into a quote, so they add nothing. A microSD card left in the tray is a different problem: it is your data, and the wipe we run covers the phone's own storage. Pop the tray, take the card and the SIM, keep them.
Same day your phone clears inspection, and inspection happens within 48 hours of arrival. Four ways to take it. Gift card pays about 3 percent above the rest because the brands add a bonus. PayPal is instant with a 2.99 percent fee taken by PayPal. Bank transfer runs 2 to 4 days, a mailed check 3 to 5. Sealed Brand New phones are PayPal only.
It depends what you compare it against. Against a drawer, easily: the top of this grid is $64 and even the bottom row is real money you did not have. Against what you paid in 2023, no, and nobody is going to pretend otherwise. The A54 is a well built phone that a lot of people still want secondhand, which is why it holds a number at all three years on. If it is dead rather than tired, take the free recycling and we will at least wipe it properly.
Storage, carrier, condition. About a minute, and the price holds for 14 days.
