SELL YOUR GALAXY A52 5G
A Galaxy A52 5G pays between $5 and $33. That is the smallest range on any of our Samsung pages and we are not going to inflate it. The A52 5G was a well liked phone in 2021 and it is a five year old phone now, which is all the used market is really pricing.
Most people call it a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and here's why the price is different. A carrier hands you credit without touching the phone. We check it by hand, wipe it to Department of Defense standards, track it in both directions and tell you what we found before anyone gets paid.
Two different phones wear this name and only one of them belongs on this page. The Galaxy A52 5G runs a 120Hz screen and a Snapdragon 750G. The plain Galaxy A52 runs a 90Hz screen and a Snapdragon 720G. Same size, same shape, same cameras, different phone. Settings, then About phone, is the certain answer: SM-A526U or SM-A526U1 is the 5G, and anything starting SM-A525 is the 4G.
The other thing worth five minutes on this model is water. Samsung rated the A52 5G IP67, which is a lab test on a phone straight out of the box, not a promise about a five year old one with five years of seals behind it. Eject the SIM tray and shine a flashlight into the empty slot. Samsung puts a liquid damage indicator in there: white or lightly marked means it stayed dry, solid pink, purple or red means water reached the inside. If water has caused anything to stop working, the phone grades Faulty, so it is better to know now than to be told later.
Sell your Galaxy A52 5G here in whatever state it is in, working or broken, dry or not. The exception is a phone that will not power on, which we cannot test or wipe, so we cannot price it. Free recycling covers that one, and the postage is free either way.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a Galaxy A52 5G runs from $5 for a cracked one to $33 for one still sealed. The two storage sizes are within a dollar or two of each other on this model, so do not expect the 256GB to carry a premium. Condition is what moves your number.
All figures come live from our feed, and whichever one you accept is held for 14 days.
| Comparison row | 128GB | 256GB |
|---|---|---|
Brand New | $33 | $33 |
Flawless | $33 | $33 |
Good | $26 | $24 |
Average | $21 | $19 |
Fair | $16 | $14 |
Faulty | $5 | $5 |
HOW IT WORKS
Confirm it is the 5G, pick your carrier, pick your condition. Check the liquid damage indicator while you have the tray out. The Buyback price you accept is held for 14 days from the moment you take it.
A prepaid USPS label comes by email. Remove your Google account, turn Find My Mobile off, take the SIM and the microSD card out, then factory reset the phone. Send it on its own. We cannot pay for a charger, a case or a set of headphones.
We inspect the phone within 48 hours of it arriving. If it is as described, the money goes out the same day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every phone gets a Department of Defense wipe here, bought or recycled.

GALAXY A52 5G BUYBACK QUESTIONS
A 128GB with light wear that disappears at arm's length is $26. Marks you can see but not feel bring it to $21, and wear you can feel with a fingernail to $16. Quote yours at the top of this page and you will have the exact figure in a minute.
The model number decides it. Open Settings, tap About phone, and read it: SM-A526U, SM-A526U1 or SM-A526B is the 5G and belongs on this page. SM-A525 is the 4G Galaxy A52 and is a different phone with a different price.
There is a second tell if you want to confirm it in the hand. The 5G runs its screen at up to 120Hz and the 4G tops out at 90Hz, so Settings, Display, Motion smoothness looks different between them. The model number is the answer we would trust though, because a quote built on the wrong phone gets corrected at inspection.
Eject the SIM tray with a pin and shine a flashlight into the empty slot. Samsung puts a liquid damage indicator in there. White, or white with light-colored marks, means no water has reached the inside. Solid pink, purple or red means it has. A tripped indicator on its own is not automatically Faulty, but water usually takes something with it, so test the speakers, the mics, the cameras and the charging port carefully before you pick a grade.
No, and this is worth being straight about. IP67 was measured on a brand new phone in a lab. Five years of heat, drops and pocket lint later, the adhesive and gaskets that made that rating true are not what they were. Samsung has never covered liquid damage under warranty on that basis either. Treat the rating as history rather than protection, check the indicator, and grade what the phone actually does now.
Yes. Cracked is a price here, not a refusal, and it is $5 on either storage size. Any crack or chip on the front, the back or a camera lens cover puts the phone in Faulty, even a hairline you have to angle to the light to see, and even if everything works. Pick Faulty at the quote and the number stays put.
Not on this model, no. The two sizes sit within a dollar or two of each other and at some conditions the 128GB is the higher of the two. That is what the feed pays today. So pick the size you actually have, and put your effort into grading the wear honestly, because that is where the real difference lives.
Probably Good or Average if it lived in a case, Fair if it did not. Good is wear you cannot see at arm's length. Average is wear you can see close up but cannot feel with a fingernail. Fair is wear that catches the nail, with no cracks. Flawless means genuinely no marks anywhere, which after five years is rare enough that we would check twice before choosing it.
No. There is no battery percentage rule on Samsung phones with us, so skip the hunt for a health screen, it is not part of how we grade. A five year old 4,500 mAh battery will be down on where it started and that is expected. The only battery that changes anything is one that has stopped working: will not charge, or shuts the phone off with charge left showing. That is a dead part, and a dead part means Faulty.
It applies here, because the A52 5G's panel is Super AMOLED. A ghost of a keyboard, a status bar or a game overlay burned in over the years grades the phone Faulty. Show a plain white image at full brightness in a dark room and look for shapes that should not be there. Our Galaxy S23 Plus page has the full test if you are not sure what you are looking at.
Yes, at a different figure to the table above, which is the unlocked one. Select your carrier in the quote tool to see it. A lot of A52 5Gs were bought outright rather than on a plan, and those tend to be unlocked already. If yours came from a carrier and is paid off, ask them to release it before you post it, because unlocked pays more here.
Not yet. Anything still on an installment plan or a lease has a claim against it, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Five years in, most A52s are long since clear, but check the account rather than assume, because a phone that is still owed on comes straight back to you.
A Google account lock, a tripped Knox counter or a bad IMEI. FRP is the one people trip themselves on: reset the phone while your Google account is still on it and it locks to that account, and nobody else can get past the setup screen. Remove the account and switch Find My Mobile off first, then reset.
Knox is Samsung's own security fuse and rooting trips it permanently. A phone reported lost or stolen, blacklisted, or blocked by a carrier fails the IMEI check. None of those can be bought at any grade, and they come back to you free.
Then we recycle it for you rather than buy it. A phone with no power cannot be tested and your data cannot be cleared off it, and putting a price on a phone we cannot open is guessing. Send it on the free label and it gets a Department of Defense wipe wherever the storage can still be reached, then proper disposal. Prefer it back? That is free as well.
The same day your phone clears inspection, which is within 48 hours of it arriving. Take it as a gift card and it averages about 3 percent more, because the brands add a bonus. Take PayPal and it is instant, less PayPal's 2.99 percent fee. Bank transfer is 2 to 4 days and a check is 3 to 5. Sealed Brand New phones are paid by PayPal only.
It is a small amount of money and we would rather say so than talk you into it. The very best case on this page is $33 for a sealed phone, and a used one lands well below that. If it is sitting unused, that is still money and a properly destroyed copy of your data, both for free. If it is broken past testing, take the recycling instead. Either way it is worth more moving than it is in the drawer.
Check the model number reads SM-A526, then pick your carrier and condition. Held for 14 days.
