SELL YOUR MOTOROLA EDGE PLUS (2022)
A Motorola Edge Plus (2022) pays between $4 and $43. This was Motorola's flagship that year, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone that launched at $999, and four years has taken almost all of that away. Both figures come from our live price feed.
Most people call it a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and what that means in practice is cash for the phone with nothing tied to a carrier afterwards.
The Edge Plus (2022) is the only phone in the Edge family we buy with a sheet of glass on the back as well as the front. The 2023 and 2024 models wear a soft eco leather back that cannot break. This one can, and does.
So your phone has two independent ways to reach Faulty, and the second one catches people out, because the back lives inside a case and nobody looks at it from one year to the next. Any crack, any chip, front or back, means Faulty. It makes no difference that the phone still works perfectly.
Take the case off and check it properly. Hold the back up under a lamp and tilt the phone slowly until the light rakes across the glass at a shallow angle, which is the only reliable way a hairline shows itself. Then run a fingernail corner to corner and around the raised camera island. A scratch lets your nail glide over it. A crack or a chip stops the nail dead.
One more thing before you quote. Motorola sold this phone in three sizes, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB, which is unusual here. Most of the Edge family came in one. Your capacity changes the price at every grade, so open Settings, then Storage, and read it rather than going from memory.
Where to sell a used Motorola Edge Plus (2022) gets harder every year, and we still buy them scratched, cracked and broken. The exception is a phone that will not power on. Without power we cannot test it and we cannot clear your data off it, so we will not put a price on it. That one gets free recycling with a Department of Defense grade wipe, or a free ride back to you.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a Motorola Edge Plus (2022) runs from $4 for a damaged 128GB up to $43 for a sealed 512GB. Capacity is worth roughly ten dollars from the smallest to the largest, and it holds that gap at every grade.
Find your storage across the top and your condition down the side. Every number is pulled live from our own feed.
| Comparison row | 128GB | 256GB | 512GB |

HOW IT WORKS
Confirm your storage in Settings, pick your carrier, then pick your grade. Take the case off and check the back glass under a lamp before you choose, because that is the surface most Edge Plus owners forget. Your Buyback price is locked for 14 days once accepted.
A prepaid USPS label lands in your inbox. Take your Google account off, erase the phone, remove the SIM and pack it. If the back glass is broken, a layer of tape over it keeps the pieces together in transit. Nothing else needs to go in the box.
We check your Edge Plus (2022) by hand within 48 hours of arrival, front and back. If it matches your description, payment goes out the same day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every phone is wiped to Department of Defense standards here, bought or recycled.

MOTOROLA EDGE PLUS (2022) BUYBACK QUESTIONS
It is Faulty, and Faulty is a row with a real number in it rather than a door being shut. A 512GB in that state is $6, a 256GB is $5 and a 128GB is $4.
Working condition does not rescue a cracked phone and cosmetic condition does not sink a working one. They are two separate tests and cracks fail the first one on their own. Choose Faulty when you quote, and the figure you accept is the figure that gets paid.
Case off, phone face down, and find a single lamp rather than a bright room. Tilt the phone until the light skims the back glass at a shallow angle. A hairline that is invisible straight on will flash as a bright line when the light crosses it.
Then use your nail. Run it slowly from one corner to the other, then all the way around the raised camera island, where knocks land first. A scratch lets the nail glide. A crack or a chip catches it. If your nail catches, it is Faulty, however clean the front of the phone is.
Storage and wear together. A 256GB with light wear you would not notice at arm's length is $26. The same phone with wear you can feel is $16. A sealed 512GB is $43, the top of this page. Run the quote at the top with your storage and carrier for the exact figure.
Two things, and either one is enough on its own. First, any crack or chip anywhere: screen, back glass, camera glass. Second, anything on the phone that has stopped working, and that is a principle rather than a list. A dead button, a speaker that crackles, a camera that will not focus, a charging port that needs the cable held at an angle. If it does not work, the phone is Faulty. Everything short of that is wear, and wear has four rows of its own above Faulty.
Turn it over. The Plus has a glass back and three rings in the camera island; the standard Edge (2022) has a plastic back and a different camera layout. The Plus is noticeably heavier in the hand at 196 grams against 170, and its screen is 6.7 inches against 6.6. For certainty, Settings then About phone: XT2201 is the Plus, XT2205 is the standard one. If yours is the standard model, quote it on our Edge (2022) page, though be warned that it pays a great deal less.
Open Settings and tap Storage. The figure shown will read a little under the number on the box, because the software takes a share, so 512GB usually shows as something in the 460s and 256GB in the 230s. Round up to the nearest of the three sizes and that is your version. It is worth two minutes: capacity moves the price by around ten dollars at every grade on this phone, and a mismatch is caught at inspection.
Yes, and it is priced the same way as a cracked back: Faulty, at the number shown in your storage column. Do not repair it first. A replacement screen would cost more than the phone is worth to us, and a replaced display does not lift the grade back up. Send it as it is, describe it as Faulty, and there are no surprises at either end.
It does. The Edge Plus (2022) has an OLED screen, and OLED panels of this age often hold a faint permanent shadow of the clock or the navigation bar. That grades Faulty. Check it with a plain white image at full brightness, tilted under good light. Our Edge (2022) page goes through the test in more detail and it works the same way on this phone.
Not by itself. There is no battery rule on this phone, no percentage to hit, and no battery health screen we want you to go and read. A four year old 4800mAh cell holding less charge than it did in 2022 is simply what batteries do. The only way it touches your grade is if it has actually failed, and then it is caught by the same rule as any other broken part.
No, and the reason is your data rather than ours. A phone that will not power on cannot be tested and cannot be erased, so we will not buy something we are unable to clear. Free recycling is the alternative: send it on our label, we wipe it to Department of Defense standards, and it is disposed of properly. Ask for it back instead and the return costs you nothing.
Not while the balance is open. A phone on an installment plan or a lease counts as being under a financial obligation and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. On a 2022 flagship most plans have long since run out, so this one is usually a quick check rather than a problem. Your carrier's app will show a zero balance if you are clear.
No to both, though only one of them is in your hands.
The Google account lock is. Remove your account under Settings, Passwords and accounts before you factory reset the phone. Reset first and the phone locks against your own account, and at that point nobody can set it up.
A blacklisted IMEI is not. Lost, stolen or carrier blocked all sit against the IMEI and cannot be undone by you or by us, so those we turn down at every grade. Your IMEI is in Settings, About phone.
Google account off first: Settings, Passwords and accounts. Then the wipe: Settings, System, Reset options, Erase all data. Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and they cannot be recovered. Our erase your device page has the whole thing screen by screen. We run a Department of Defense grade wipe on arrival as well, but that is a backstop, not a substitute.
None of it. Nothing is required in the box on a Motorola and none of those items are priced into your Buyback, so keep them. Send the phone by itself with the SIM removed. If the glass is broken, a strip of tape across it is worth doing, and it does not change your grade.
Rarely, on a phone this old, and rarely in cash. Carrier offers on four year old Androids tend to be small, spread over 24 or 36 bill credits, and conditional on a new line. Ours is a single cash payment the day your phone clears inspection, with nothing attached to your account afterwards. Check theirs anyway. If it wins, take it, and we will still be here.
Check the back glass, confirm your storage, then pick your carrier and grade. It takes about a minute and we hold the price for 14 days.
