SELL YOUR EDGE 20 PRO
Every Edge 20 Pro price on this page is read straight out of our own feed, so the grid further down is always what we are paying on the day you look at it. What this page can add is which row you are going to land in, because on this phone the grade usually turns on one thing nobody thinks to check.
Carriers run trade-ins. We run Buybacks. The difference that actually matters is the end of it: a person opens your box, looks at the phone, and tells you what they found before any money moves.
Unlike the Moto G phones sitting next to it in our catalog, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro has an OLED screen. Motorola gave it a 6.7 inch panel running at 144Hz, and OLED is the panel type that can burn in.
Burn-in is what happens when part of the picture never changes. The navigation bar along the bottom. The clock and the battery icon at the top. A keyboard outline. Those pixels age faster than the ones around them and leave a permanent ghost behind. On any OLED phone a burned-in screen is Faulty, and on a four year old Edge 20 Pro it is the most common way a phone that still works perfectly ends up in the bottom row.
Here is the check and it takes ten seconds. Open the camera app and point it at a plain bright wall or at the sky. The camera fills the entire screen, which means the clock, the battery icon and the navigation bar are not being drawn at all. Now look hard at the places where they normally sit. If you can still make out a faint clock, or a faint bar across the bottom, that is burn-in and the phone grades Faulty. If you see nothing, you are clear.
Two things people mistake for it. A single dead pixel is not burn-in. Colors shifting slightly when you tilt the phone is not burn-in either. Both are normal OLED behavior and neither one costs you a grade.
The other part of an Edge 20 Pro worth ten seconds is the back. It carries a periscope telephoto, the long lens that folds the light sideways inside the body so Motorola could fit 5x zoom without a thick bump, and it sits under its own piece of glass. Drag a fingernail across each lens cover. A scratch in the coating glides. A chip catches. A chipped cover is broken glass, and broken glass anywhere on the phone is Faulty even though the camera still takes pictures.
Where to sell a used Edge 20 Pro really means who still handles a 2021 Motorola flagship. We do, working or broken, and we quote the Moto G100 that shares its Snapdragon 870 chip as well. Two phones we cannot buy at any grade: one that will not power on, because we cannot test it or erase your photos, messages and saved passwords from it, and one still signed in to a Google account, because nobody can get past that screen. Both ship back to you free, or we recycle them free with a full wipe first.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a Motorola Edge 20 Pro sits in the grid below. Storage runs across the top, condition down the side, and every figure is pulled live from our own price feed each time this page loads.
How much you can sell yours for comes down to capacity and wear, and the screen check above is the one that moves people between rows. The quote tool at the top of the page reads from the same feed if you would rather work through it there.
| Comparison row | 128GB | 256GB |
|---|---|---|
Brand New | $0 | $0 |
Flawless | $0 | $0 |

Average | $0 | $0 |
Fair | $0 | $0 |
Faulty | $0 | $0 |
HOW IT WORKS
Do the camera app screen check and the fingernail pass over the three lens covers before you choose anything. Those two tests decide most Edge 20 Pro grades between them.
Then pick 128GB or 256GB and your carrier. The Buyback price you accept is held for 14 days.
A prepaid USPS label comes by email. Pack the phone properly, tape it shut, and the tracking is yours to watch all the way in.
Remove your Google account in Settings first, then factory reset, then take the SIM out. In that order.
Someone checks the phone by hand inside 48 hours of arrival, screen included, and you hear what they found.
If it matches your description the payment leaves that day. Gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. If you would rather have the phone back, the return is free.

EDGE 20 PRO BUYBACK QUESTIONS
Storage and condition set it, and the live grid above shows both. Run the quote tool at the top of the page for your exact handset, since it reads from the same feed and also asks the carrier question. Do the screen check first so you pick the right row rather than finding out at inspection.
Yes, and it is decisive. A burned-in OLED screen is Faulty, however clean the rest of the phone is. To test it, open the camera app so the interface disappears, then look for a ghost of the clock or the navigation bar in the places they normally live. A single stuck pixel is not burn-in, and colors shifting as you tilt the phone is not burn-in. Neither of those costs you anything.
Yes. A crack sets the grade at Faulty rather than ending the sale. The rule covers the front glass, the back panel and the camera lens covers, and one hairline crack counts the same as a shattered corner. Faulty is a row in the table above like any other.
Light wear you can see but cannot feel. Run a fingernail slowly across the screen and the back: if it glides over the marks, you are in Average. If it catches, that is Fair. If you cannot find any marks at all from arm's length, look again more carefully, because the grades above Average are strict about it.
Not as a figure. This phone has no battery percentage rule in our grading and there is no screen we are asking you to go and read. A battery reaches the grade only by failing, and a part that has failed puts the phone in Faulty like any other broken component. Four years of charge cycles on its own costs you nothing.
Try it properly first. Delete every saved print, register one again slowly with a clean dry finger at full screen brightness, then lock the phone and try three times. If it still refuses, the reader has failed and the phone is Faulty, because anything on an Android phone that does not work makes it Faulty. A screen protector over an under-display reader can also cause this, so take it off before you decide.
A carrier pays in monthly bill credit tied to a line you have to keep open, usually for two or three years. We pay once, in cash, within a day of checking the phone, and you owe us nothing afterwards. The Edge 20 Pro is also old enough now that many carrier programs will not take it at all.
No. Two reasons, and the second is the real one: we cannot test a dead phone, and we cannot erase what is stored on it. Paying for a device we cannot clear is not something we will do. Send it in and we will recycle it free after a Department of Defense grade wipe, or return it free, your call.
We cannot buy it at any grade. The FRP lock survives a factory reset and leaves the next owner staring at a password prompt. If you know the account details, sign in, remove the account in Settings, then reset. If you do not, Google is the only way through and there is nothing we can do at our end. Lost, stolen, blacklisted and carrier blocked handsets get the same answer.
Drop another network's SIM in and see whether it connects. A locked phone is still one we buy, at the price for that carrier. Choose it in the quote tool rather than leaving Unlocked selected, and if the carrier will release the phone before you post it, ask. It costs nothing to find out.
No. We do not purchase devices under financial obligations, which means anything sitting on an installment plan or a lease. Clear it, confirm the carrier has released it, and it is yours to sell.
Back up whatever you want to keep first. Then Settings, Passwords & accounts, remove the Google account. Then Settings, System, Reset options, Erase all data. Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and cannot be recovered. Pull the SIM tray before you box it. We also run a Department of Defense grade wipe on arrival, on every device.
Inspection finishes inside 48 hours of the parcel landing, and payment goes out the same day it clears. Gift card comes to your email and works out about 3 percent ahead because the brands add a bonus. PayPal is instant with PayPal's 2.99 percent fee. Bank transfer takes 2 to 4 days, a check 3 to 5. Sealed Brand New phones can only be paid by PayPal.
No. Keep all of it, including the little adapter, since it is useful with other phones. Only the handset is priced. The one exception is a sealed unopened Edge 20 Pro, which is what Brand New means and which arrives with everything anyway.
Storage, carrier, condition. Two minutes, and whatever you accept is held for 14 days.
