The Ultra is also the odd one out in the Razr line, because Motorola stopped putting glass on the back. Depending on which one you bought, yours is finished in real wood, in Alcantara, or in a soft coated material, and none of those age the way glass does.
That changes what you are looking for. Glass either cracks or it does not. Wood and fabric go shiny at the corners, darken where your fingers rest, and lift at the edges where the panel meets the frame. All of that is wear, and wear puts you somewhere between Flawless and Fair depending on whether a fingernail can feel it. None of it is Faulty.
What does force Faulty is a split, a chip or a lifted section deep enough to expose what is underneath. Same rule as a cracked screen, applied to a material that shows damage differently.

We email a prepaid USPS label. Remove your Google account, erase the phone, and pack it folded shut with padding on both faces. The charger, the case and the box add nothing to your price, so keep them.
Your Ultra is inspected within 48 hours of arriving. If it matches your description, payment goes out the same day. Sealed phones are paid through PayPal, and everything else can go by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check.

MOTOROLA RAZR ULTRA BUYBACK QUESTIONS
Start with storage. A sealed, never activated 1TB is worth $340 and the same phone in 512GB is $310. Once it has been opened and used, a 1TB in Good condition is $280. Every grade follows that pattern, with the larger phone ahead.
Brand New means sealed and never activated, with everything it left the factory with still in the box. If you have switched it on and set it up, it is not Brand New, however perfect it looks. That phone is Flawless, which means no marks at all.
One thing to know before you choose: Brand New phones are paid through PayPal only. The other three payment methods are not available on a sealed device.
That is wear, not damage, and it does not put you in Faulty. Wood and Alcantara polish where your hand holds them, and they darken where they pick up oil from your fingers. Judge it the same way you would judge scratches on glass.
Use a fingernail. If it slides across the mark and you can only see it, that is Good or Average territory. If your nail can feel a worn patch or a raised edge, that is Fair.
A split in the material, a chip out of it, or a section lifting far enough to show what is underneath is a different matter. That grades Faulty, exactly like a crack in glass would.

Yes, and it still holds a decent number for a broken phone. Cracks and chips on either screen, on the back or on the camera glass all grade Faulty. That is $56 for a 1TB and $50 for a 512GB. Say it is cracked when you quote and nothing changes at inspection.
No. Every folding phone creases along the fold, the Ultra included, and it has no effect on your grade. Motorola made it shallower than earlier models, so on some phones you feel it more than you see it, but either way it is normal and costs you nothing.
No. There is no battery health rule on this phone. We do not want a percentage, there is no cutoff, and there is no screen we are going to send you looking for. If the battery has genuinely failed, that is a fault, and any fault at all makes the phone Faulty. That is the only way it enters the grade.
Open it to about halfway and let go. It should hold. Close it and make sure the halves sit flat against each other with no gap along the edge. A hinge that sags, springs, grinds or refuses to shut flush is a functional fault, and that means Faulty regardless of how the rest of the phone looks.
That one we cannot buy. A phone with no power cannot be tested, and your data cannot be cleared off it, so putting a price on it would be a guess. We will recycle it free instead. Send it on a free label, we run a DoD-grade wipe and dispose of it properly, or we return it to you at no cost.
Then the sale stops there. An FRP or Google account lock makes the phone unusable to us, and the same applies to anything reported lost or stolen or blocked by a carrier. Sign the account out of the phone first, then factory reset, because doing it in the other order leaves the lock behind.
Not until it is paid off. A phone under an installment plan or a lease is under a financial obligation, and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Clear the balance first and the rest of this works normally.
Only if the phone is sealed and you are selling it as Brand New, in which case it goes as it came. For every other grade, nothing is required in the box. Send the phone on its own and keep the 68W charger.

Open Settings, go to Passwords and accounts, and remove your Google account. Then Settings, System, Reset options, Erase all data. Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and they cannot be recovered. Our erase your device page shows each step.
