Sell your iPad Pro 11" (M4) for cash

A 256GB WiFi model in Fair condition pays $282. Move up to a 1TB in Good condition and it is $620, while a 256GB graded Faulty is $141. The table above has the rest.

Nothing on the outside will tell you, so go to the model number. A2836, A2837, and A3006 are this M4. A3357, A3358, and A3359 are the M5 that came after it. The two are the same size, the same weight, and the same colors, and neither is labeled. Look in small print on the back cover, or open Settings, then General, then About.

An Apple trade-in comes back as credit. It only exists if you are buying something new from Apple, and it is spent before you ever hold it. A Buyback is money for the tablet on its own, paid by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer, or check.

The other difference is the check. We go over the tablet by hand and tell you what we found, which is why a cracked one still has a price here rather than being turned away. Before you compare numbers, make sure you are pricing the right tablet: the small black circle beside the camera is the LiDAR scanner, and only the Pro line has one, so a tablet without it is an iPad Air and prices on a different page.

It does, and this is the one people miss most. Because the camera plateau is raised, it takes the hit before the rest of the tablet does, and a crack there leaves the screen, the buttons, and Face ID all working normally. Nothing feels broken. Cracked camera glass grades Faulty all the same, so check it against a light before you commit to a grade rather than after the tablet reaches us.

It does, and on this model the gap is set by the grade alone: it is the same at 256GB as it is at 2TB. Around 20 dollars at Brand New, Flawless and Good, 19 at Average, 12 at Fair and 6 at Faulty. Looking for a SIM tray will not help you tell which one you have, because this generation is eSIM only and has none. Open Settings and look for a Cellular Data section instead. It is there on a Cellular model and absent on a WiFi one.

There is no separate premium for it. Apple only offered nano-texture on the 1TB and 2TB models, so owning it already puts you in the two best paying sizes. Treat it carefully in the meantime: the glass is etched rather than coated, it marks far more easily than standard glass, and only the dry polishing cloth that came with it should ever touch it. Scratches or cloudy patches count as screen damage and grade the tablet Faulty.

It can, because this generation moved the Pro line to OLED and OLED is the panel type that burns in. Two years of the same dock and status bar sitting in the same place can leave a faint permanent shadow of them. Any of it that is visible grades the tablet Faulty. The test is a plain white screen at full brightness, viewed slightly off to one side.

Yes, at the Faulty price. Chips and cracks count wherever they are, whether that is the display, the aluminum back, or the glass over the cameras. On this size the edges are where hairline damage tends to begin, so tilt the tablet under a lamp and run your eye all the way round the border.

Then the grade is Faulty. An iPad Pro has no fingerprint reader anywhere on it, so Face ID is the only way in and it has to work for any grade above Faulty. The same applies to the speakers, the microphones, and every physical button.

Below 80 percent the grade is Faulty, and a service battery message does the same. Settings, then Battery, shows you the health figure on current software. If the iPad is still on something older there is no figure to read, so go by what it does instead: a charge that will not survive an afternoon off the cable, or a shutdown while the indicator still claims twenty percent, both put it under the line. Around two years of ownership is where this starts to be worth checking rather than assuming.

Keep hold of them. The quote covers the tablet by itself and no accessory value is folded into it, so an Apple Pencil Pro, a Magic Keyboard, or a case sent along with it would earn you nothing at all. All three hold their own value and are worth listing separately.

Not for a cash offer. A tablet that will not power up cannot be tested, and more importantly cannot be erased, so there is no responsible way to put a grade against it. Free recycling or a free return are both on the table instead, whichever you would rather.

Two things will stop a sale. The first is an outstanding balance: a tablet still being paid off monthly or held on a lease is under a financial obligation and cannot be bought until that is cleared. The second is Activation Lock, which releases when you sign out of iCloud. On Cellular models there is an IMEI to consider as well, and one flagged lost or stolen means the tablet is returned to you.

There are four routes. A gift card lands roughly 3 percent above the cash figure because the brand adds a bonus on top. PayPal is immediate once their 2.99 percent comes off. A bank transfer takes 2 to 4 days and a check 3 to 5. Anything graded Brand New is settled by PayPal only.
