SELL YOUR GALAXY TAB S9 FE
A Galaxy Tab S9 FE pays between $12 and $110. Those are small numbers and we are not going to dress them up. This is the cheaper tablet in the Tab S9 family and it sold for a few hundred dollars new. It is still money for something that has been living in a kitchen drawer since last winter, and quoting one takes about a minute.
The S Pen decides more of that number than anything else you can control. A Tab S9 FE that arrives without one grades Faulty, straight to the bottom row, not one step down. Samsung put the pen in the box with this tablet, so we treat it as part of the tablet. On a device paying this little, losing the pen is most of the payment.
Most people call it a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and the difference matters here: a carrier will offer credit against a bill, and we send cash for a tablet a carrier would not take at all.
Now the question we get more than any other on this model. People do not know whether they own a Tab S9 or a Tab S9 FE, and the two are not worth the same. There is a five second test, and it is the fingerprint reader.
Press the power button with a finger you have registered. On the Tab S9 FE the fingerprint reader is built into that button, so the tablet unlocks from the button itself. On the standard Tab S9 and the Tab S9 Plus the reader sits under the glass instead, so pressing the power button only wakes the screen and you have to touch the display to get in. Button unlocks it: you have an FE.
That same button is worth ten more seconds while you have it in your hand. Delete your saved fingerprints, register one again slowly, then lock the tablet and try it three times. A reader that will not register, or that refuses a clean dry finger, is a part that has stopped working, and anything that has stopped working on a Samsung tablet makes it Faulty. It is better to find that now than to argue about it later.
One more thing this tablet does not have to worry about: burn-in. The Tab S9 FE screen is an LCD rather than an AMOLED, and an LCD cannot burn an image into itself. Its bigger sibling shares that panel type, and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus page goes into what that means when you are grading a screen.
WiFi + Cellular models pay more than WiFi ones at every grade, and the table below shows WiFi. Where to sell a Galaxy Tab S9 FE mostly comes down to who still bothers with a budget tablet. We do, cracked or clean, and the postage costs you nothing either way.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a Galaxy Tab S9 FE runs from $12 for a cracked 128GB WiFi tablet up to $95 for a sealed 256GB WiFi one. Choose WiFi + Cellular instead and that ceiling becomes $110.
Both capacities are below at WiFi prices, straight from our live feed.

Average | $51 | $60 |
Fair | $36 | $42 |

HOW IT WORKS
Check the power button unlocks it so you know you are pricing an FE, then choose 128GB or 256GB, WiFi or WiFi + Cellular, and a condition. Have the S Pen with you when you pick. Whatever Buyback price you accept is held for 14 days.
We send a prepaid USPS label to your inbox. Sign out of the Samsung account and the Google account, slide the microSD card out and keep it, then erase the tablet. The S Pen goes in the box. The keyboard cover, the case and the charger stay with you.
Someone checks the tablet by hand inside 48 hours of it landing. If it is what you said it was, the money goes out that day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. Every tablet gets a Department of Defense grade wipe on arrival, including any we end up recycling.

GALAXY TAB S9 FE BUYBACK QUESTIONS
A 256GB WiFi tablet in Good condition is $70. Drop it to Fair and it is $42. A 128GB with a cracked screen is $12. Small figures, honestly reported. Use the quote tool at the top for yours.
Press the power button with a registered fingerprint. If the tablet unlocks from the button, it is a Tab S9 FE, because that is where the FE keeps its fingerprint reader. If you have to touch the middle of the screen to unlock it, the reader is under the display and you have the standard Tab S9 or the Tab S9 Plus.
The model number settles it for certain: Settings, About tablet, where SM-X510 and SM-X516B are the S9 FE. Screen size is a third check, 10.9 inches on the FE against 11 inches on the S9, though that is a hard call by eye. One thing to know before you go further: we are not buying the standard Galaxy Tab S9 at the moment, so if that is what you are holding, this page cannot price it.
Measure the screen or read the model number. The Tab S9 FE is 10.9 inches and shows SM-X510 or SM-X516B. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus is 12.4 inches and shows SM-X610 or SM-X616B. The Plus is worth noticeably more, so it is worth checking rather than guessing.
It matters more here than on any expensive tablet, because the pen is a bigger share of a small number. Without it the Tab S9 FE grades Faulty, which is the bottom row of the table. The pen shipped in the box, so a tablet without one is incomplete. A used replacement is acceptable as long as it is an S Pen for this tablet and it writes. Check the magnetic strip on the back edge before you give up on it.
You can, though be realistic about the number: $12 at 128GB and $14 at 256GB on WiFi. Any crack or chip anywhere on the tablet means Faulty, no exceptions and no arguing about how small it is. Choose Faulty when you quote and that figure is what you are paid. If it is not worth posting to you, we will recycle it free instead and still wipe it properly.
No. The Tab S9 FE uses an LCD panel, and an LCD has no organic pixels to wear unevenly, so it physically cannot burn in. If you have read our Samsung phone pages and gone looking for ghost icons on a white screen, you can skip that here. What an LCD does show up on a plain white screen is hairline cracks and dead pixels, and those do matter: a crack is Faulty and a dead pixel is a failed part, which is also Faulty.
No. Samsung tablets have no battery percentage rule here, so there is nothing to look up and no number to hit. If the battery has genuinely failed, that is a part that has stopped working and the tablet is Faulty like anything else that has stopped working. An 8,000 mAh battery three years in that still gets through an evening is perfectly normal and changes nothing.
Yes, on every row of the table. A 256GB in Good condition is $85 with cellular against $70 on WiFi. If yours has a SIM tray, pick WiFi + Cellular in the quote tool. Two things come with that: the IMEI has to be clean, since a cellular tablet has one and a WiFi tablet has none at all, and no carrier lock exists on a Galaxy Tab, so the network makes no difference to the price.
Both accounts. Your Samsung account and your Google account, then a factory reset in Settings, General management, Reset.
Leave either one signed in and the tablet locks on first boot, which means we cannot test it and cannot buy it. A Google FRP lock or a tripped Knox counter is the same story. It takes two minutes at your end and cannot be fixed at ours. Our erase your device page walks through it. We also wipe everything to Department of Defense standards when it arrives, on top of what you did.
None of them. Accessories are not priced into a Tab S9 FE quote, so a Book Cover Keyboard or a folio case adds nothing to your payment and only gives the parcel something to lose. Send the tablet and the S Pen. That is it.
Your fingernail. Average is wear you can see but cannot feel. Fair is wear you can feel, a scratch your nail drops into or a dent on the aluminum edge, with the glass still in one piece. Above those, Good is light wear you would miss at arm's length and Flawless is nothing at all. Below them, Faulty covers every crack, every chip, a missing S Pen and anything that has stopped working. Run a nail across the screen and the long edges and grade it by what catches.
Not for money. Without power we cannot test it and cannot clear your data off it, and buying a tablet we cannot wipe is not something we do. Free recycling is the alternative: post it on our label, we destroy the data to Department of Defense standards and dispose of the hardware responsibly. A free return is there too if you would rather keep it.
Neither one works. A tablet on an installment plan or a lease is under a financial obligation and we do not purchase devices under financial obligations. Blacklisted, reported lost or stolen, or blocked by a carrier is a no at any grade, and so is a tablet still locked to somebody's account. Clear the balance, or clear the block, then come back.
Sometimes, on paper, and always as credit rather than money. Carrier offers on a budget tablet tend to be low or nonexistent, and they usually require a new line or an upgrade. We pay $70 in cash for a 256GB in Good condition with no strings, sent the same day it clears inspection. Compare the two honestly and take the better one.
Gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check, chosen at checkout. The gift card runs about 3 percent higher because brands add a bonus, which on a tablet this size is a couple of dollars but it is free money. PayPal is instant and charges 2.99 percent. Bank transfer takes 2 to 4 days, a check 3 to 5. All of them go out the same day your tablet clears inspection, and a sealed Brand New one is PayPal only.
Capacity, WiFi or cellular, condition. A minute of your time, and the price holds for 14 days.
