SELL YOUR GALAXY TAB S8 ULTRA
A Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra pays between $37 and $311. Most people call it a trade-in. We call it a Buyback, and that word is doing real work here: a person unpacks it, checks it by hand and tells you what they found.
The S Pen came in the box, so it is part of the deal. A Tab S8 Ultra that arrives without one grades Faulty whatever else is true about it. Get it off the back of the tablet and into your hand before you read any further.
Now the part this page exists for. At 14.6 inches, 5.5mm thick and 726 grams, this is the largest thing we buy, and it is mostly glass. We grade what arrives, not what left, so packing it properly is worth more on this model than on anything else in the Galaxy Tab range. A tablet that ships clean and lands with a chipped corner is a Faulty tablet.
So: nothing else in the box. No keyboard cover, no case, no charger, because a loose accessory turns into a hammer in transit. Put the S Pen in a small bag or tape it to a piece of card so it cannot slide across the screen. Wrap the tablet screen inward in bubble wrap or a folded towel, then find a box big enough for two inches of padding on every side, including the corners and the edges. Shake it before you tape it. If anything moves, add more padding.
Then tape every seam. Our label is prepaid and tracked the whole way, and if the number changes for any reason you can take the tablet back and pay nothing for the return. That is the whole point of doing this by post rather than meeting a stranger with a $700 slab of glass.
This is an AMOLED screen, so burn-in applies and it is Faulty. Cellular models pay more than WiFi ones at every grade. Where to sell a Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, used, cracked or broken, is a short list, because most places will not quote a tablet this size at all. We do, and if it will not power on we will recycle it free instead.
LIVE PRICES
The used resale value of a Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra runs from $37 for a cracked 128GB WiFi tablet to $291 for a sealed 512GB WiFi one, and up to $311 once you add cellular.
Fair covers heavy wear you can feel with a fingernail, as long as nothing is cracked or chipped, and it is a common landing spot for a tablet this size. A 512GB WiFi Tab S8 Ultra in that state is $148. WiFi prices for all three capacities are below, read live from our feed.
| Comparison row | 128GB | 256GB | 512GB |
|---|---|---|---|
Brand New | $221 | $261 | $291 |
Flawless | $221 | $261 | $291 |
Good | $186 | $221 | $246 |
Average | $164 | $194 | $216 |
Fair | $112 | $133 | $148 |
Faulty | $37 | $44 | $49 |
HOW IT WORKS
Choose 128GB, 256GB or 512GB, WiFi or WiFi + Cellular, and the grade that matches the wear. Have the S Pen in front of you, because a tablet without one prices as Faulty. The Buyback price you accept is held for 14 days, so there is no rush to post it the same afternoon.
Sign out of your Samsung and Google accounts, factory reset, then pack it properly: tablet screen inward, two inches of padding on every side, the S Pen bagged, nothing else in the box. The USPS label is prepaid and tracked from the moment you drop it off.
We check it within 48 hours of arrival and tell you exactly what we found. If it matches, payment leaves the same day by gift card, PayPal, bank transfer or check. If you would rather have it back after seeing our figure, the return is free. Every tablet gets a Department of Defense grade wipe either way.

GALAXY TAB S8 ULTRA BUYBACK QUESTIONS
It comes down to capacity, connectivity and wear. A 512GB WiFi tablet in Fair is $148. The same one in Good is $246. Cracked, it is $49. Run your own through the quote tool at the top of the page and you have your number in about a minute.
Slowly, and with more padding than feels necessary. This is the biggest thing we buy and it is a sheet of glass with a battery behind it, so the packing is genuinely part of the price.
Wrap it screen inward in bubble wrap or a folded towel. Bag the S Pen separately or tape it to a piece of card, because loose in a box it slides across the display for three days. Leave nothing else in there: no keyboard cover, no case, no charger. Then choose a box that leaves about two inches of space on every side, corners and edges included, and fill that space. Shake the sealed box next to your ear. If you can hear or feel the tablet move, open it and add more. Tape every seam, not just the middle one.
We grade what arrives, so a corner that chipped in transit is graded Faulty, the same as one that chipped in your kitchen. That sounds harsh until you see what happens next: you are not stuck with it. If our figure does not match what you expected, you can turn the offer down and we post the tablet back to you for nothing. Nobody is holding your tablet hostage over a $40 difference. Good packing simply makes the whole conversation unnecessary.
Color is the fastest answer. The Tab S8 Ultra was sold in Graphite and nothing else, so a beige or silver 14.6 inch tablet is not this one. Both are the same size and within a few grams of each other, so if yours is dark, confirm it in Settings, About tablet. SM-X900 or SM-X906 is the Tab S8 Ultra. SM-X910 or SM-X916 is the newer Tab S9 Ultra, and the difference between them in cash is worth the ten seconds it takes to look.
Yes, on every unit. Samsung shipped one in the box, we price the tablet on that basis, and a Tab S8 Ultra that arrives alone grades Faulty regardless of how clean the screen is. A pen you replaced later is fine as long as it is a genuine Tab S8 Ultra pen that charges on the back and writes without skipping.
Yes, and on a tablet this size the Faulty prices are still worth having: $37 for a 128GB, $44 for a 256GB, $49 for a 512GB. Any crack or chip means Faulty even when everything works. Pick it at the quote step and the figure holds when the tablet reaches us.
Yes, at Faulty. On a Samsung tablet any part that does not work sends the whole thing to the bottom row, whether that is a speaker, the charging port, a camera, a button, the fingerprint reader or a patch of unresponsive screen. It is one rule instead of a checklist, and it means a working tablet with one dead speaker and a smashed one price the same. Better to test everything for five minutes and quote honestly.
It can, because the panel is AMOLED, and burn-in grades Faulty. Fill the screen with a solid light gray, put the brightness up, then look at it straight on and at an angle. Anything that stays in place while the image behind it changes is burn-in: the row of status icons, a clock, or the outline of whatever app has lived on this screen for two years. On a 14.6 inch panel it usually shows near the top edge first. An afterimage that fades within a couple of seconds is normal and does not count.
No. There is no battery rule on any Samsung we buy and no health percentage to look up, whatever the iPhone pages told you. The only way the battery reaches your grade is by failing outright, and a failed part is Faulty like any other.
There is no carrier lock on a tablet, so it makes no difference which network the 5G model was used on. What we do need is your Samsung account and your Google account signed out before it ships, on every unit. A 5G Tab S8 Ultra also needs a clean IMEI. WiFi tablets do not have an IMEI at all. Google locked, Samsung account locked, Knox tripped, blacklisted or reported stolen all mean we cannot buy at any grade, and those go back to you free.
Sign out before you reset. Settings, Accounts and backup, Manage accounts, then remove your Google account and your Samsung account. Then Settings, General management, Reset, Factory data reset. Take the memory card out and keep it, since a reset does not clear a card. There is a walkthrough on our erase your device page. We run a Department of Defense grade wipe here as well, on every tablet, including the ones we recycle.
No, and on this model that matters twice over. Accessories are not priced into a Buyback, so it earns you nothing, and a keyboard cover shifting around inside a box with a 14.6 inch screen is exactly how tablets arrive cracked. Keep it, keep the case, keep the charger.
Yes, at every grade and every capacity, so tell the quote tool which one you have. The gap is real money on this model: a sealed 512GB WiFi is $291 while the same tablet with cellular is $311. If there is a SIM tray along the edge, you have the cellular one.
Not for cash. If it will not start we cannot test it and we cannot clear your data off it, and quoting a price for something we cannot open would be guesswork. Free recycling is the alternative: a free label, a Department of Defense grade wipe on arrival, and proper disposal afterwards. Or ask for it back, which is also free.
Compare them properly before you decide. Carriers pay in bill credits, spread across 24 or 36 months and tied to keeping the line, so the money only fully arrives if nothing about your plan changes. We pay once, in cash, a day or so after inspection. A 256GB Tab S8 Ultra in Good condition is $221 here. If the carrier genuinely beats that in dollars rather than credits, take theirs, and we will not be offended.
Capacity, connectivity, grade. A minute of your time, and the price is locked for 14 days.
