A Galaxy S25 Edge is worth between $64 and $390 today, and every step in between is in the table below. Storage moves it, the carrier lock moves it, and the rest is what the last year has done to a phone built at 5.8mm. That last part is where most Edge owners guess wrong, so this page starts with the frame rather than the screen.
One thing to settle before the numbers. A carrier calls this a trade-in, and the practical problem with their version is not that it is small, it is that it cannot be compared. The offer arrives welded to a new handset, a plan and a term, so working out what your Edge was actually worth in it means unpicking three prices that were only ever quoted together. The Galaxy S25 Edge is 5.8mm thick and weighs 163 grams. That is the slimmest phone Samsung has put in the Galaxy S line, and it is the reason this page opens with the frame instead of the screen.
A phone this thin does not dent when it goes wrong. It bows. Titanium is stiff and it resists a dent, so an Edge that has been sat on or carried in a back pocket rarely shows a bruise. It shows a long, gentle curve that you will not spot by looking at the back.
So do not look at the back. Put the phone screen up on a hard flat surface, a kitchen counter or a glass table, and slide a credit card in from the long side. Try it at both ends, then in the middle. On a straight Galaxy S25 Edge the card stops at the same point everywhere. If it slides under at the middle and jams at the ends, or the other way round, the frame has bowed. A bent frame is Faulty, even with a perfect screen and everything working.
While the phone is down there, run a thumbnail along both titanium rails. Scuffs and hairlines are wear and they do not move your grade. A dent you can feel as a step, or a kink where the rail changes direction, is not wear.
The front glass is Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. Samsung's own description is crystals set into the glass to improve crack deflection, and it is on this phone because 5.8mm leaves nothing behind the screen to absorb a fall. Better in a drop is not the same as unbreakable. If it has cracked, the Galaxy S25 Edge grades Faulty, and Faulty is a row in the table below rather than a closed door.
Two rear cameras is how you know it is an Edge. Every other Galaxy S25 has three. Open the camera app and look for a 3x button: your Edge has no telephoto lens, so it has no 3x. The Galaxy S25 Plus carries the same 6.7 inch screen and it is easy to mix the two up on paper, until you hold them. The Plus is 190 grams. Yours is 163.

HOW IT WORKS
Choose 256GB or 512GB, your carrier, and the grade. Do the credit card test on a flat surface first. A bow is the fault most Galaxy S25 Edge owners do not know they have, and it is the difference between the top of the table and the bottom. Lay it screen up on something genuinely flat and slide a credit card in from the long edge, first at one end, then the other, then the middle. Even resistance all the way along means the frame is straight. A card that goes further in one place than another means it has bowed.
A bent frame grades Faulty. There is no partial credit for a phone that still works, because a bowed 5.8mm chassis is putting load on the screen and on the battery. On a 512GB the difference is $340 at Good against $68 at Faulty. Tell us at the quote step and the number will not change when it reaches us.
No. Scuffs, hairlines and the dull patches titanium picks up over a year are wear, and wear is what separates Flawless from Good from Average. Run a thumbnail along the rail. If it glides, it is a scratch. If it drops into a step or catches on a ridge where the rail changes direction, that is a dent or a kink, and that is a different conversation, because a deformed frame is Faulty.
Count the rear cameras. Two means Edge. Three means Galaxy S25 Plus. Open the camera app as a double check: the Plus has a 3x button because it has a telephoto lens, and your Edge does not have one at all. Both phones use the same 6.7 inch screen, so the screen will not tell you apart, but the weight will. The Edge is 163 grams and 5.8mm. The Plus is 190 grams and 7.3mm. Yes, at the Faulty price. Any crack or chip forces Faulty, on the front glass, the back glass or the camera covers, and it does that even when the phone works flawlessly. The Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front is built to survive drops better than ordinary glass, which is why Samsung put it on a phone this thin, but it is still glass. A cracked 256GB pays $64 and a cracked 512GB pays $68.
Then it grades Faulty. Every Galaxy S has an OLED panel and OLED can hold a permanent ghost of anything static. Full brightness, dim room, plain white screen, and look for the outline of the clock or the navigation buttons. The Galaxy S25 Plus page walks through that test in more detail and the rule is identical on both phones. An aftermarket or replaced display is Faulty too, so tell us if the screen has been changed.
One principle covers most of it: if anything on the phone does not work, the phone is Faulty. Not a lower grade, Faulty. A speaker with no sound, a mic that nobody can hear you through, a button that has stopped clicking, a camera that will not launch, a fingerprint reader that has given up, a charging port that only takes at one angle.
On top of that sit the ones where the phone works and the grade goes anyway: any crack or chip, a bent frame, screen burn-in, a replaced display, and an engraving. Pick Faulty when one of those is true and you get the price you were shown.
There is not. We do not grade Samsung phones on a battery percentage and there is no battery health figure to hunt for in the settings, so please do not go looking for one.
The only route from the battery to your grade is the same rule as everything else. A battery that does not work is a fault. If the Galaxy S25 Edge shuts down with charge left on the meter, or will not last a morning off the charger, quote it as Faulty. A battery that is simply not as fresh as it was is normal and costs you nothing.
Faulty. The reader sits under the screen glass, so it can stop working while the phone looks perfect, and it often stops working after a screen repair. Lock the phone and open it with your thumb three times before you pick a grade. Three misses, or a phone that has quietly reverted to asking for the PIN, is a functionality issue and functionality issues are Faulty. Face unlock is treated the same way.
Yes. Unlocked pays the most on this model at every grade and both capacities. An unlocked 512GB in Average condition pays $320 while the same handset on T-Mobile pays $228. Search your settings for SIM lock to see which you have, or choose the carrier you pay. If you tell us it is locked and it turns out to be unlocked, we put your offer up ourselves.
No, and the reason is that we cannot check it or clear it. A phone that will not power up cannot be tested, and your photos, messages and saved passwords cannot be erased off it, so we are not going to quote a number we would only have to take back. Send it in anyway on a free label and we will recycle it for nothing, wiping it to Department of Defense standards first. Prefer it back? The return costs you nothing either.

Google FRP off, which means taking your Google account off the phone before you factory reset it, not after. Samsung reactivation lock off, which means switching off Find My Mobile and removing your Samsung account. A clean IMEI, so nothing reported lost or stolen, nothing carrier blocked, and no unpaid balance sitting against it.
A tripped Knox counter is the fourth one, and it is permanent. Knox trips the first time a phone is rooted or flashed with custom software and it cannot be reset afterwards. We cannot buy that phone and we would rather you did not post it.
Erasing comes first, and in this order: Google account off in Settings, Accounts and backup, then Samsung account off and Find My Mobile off, then Settings, General management, Reset, Factory data reset. Your photos, messages and saved passwords are erased and they cannot be recovered. Our erase your device page has it with pictures.
